Skewer me all you want, but I think Harbaugh would do well in Dallas. He’s the type of no-nonsense guy all these soft dudes need. Attitudes would change instantly (and, those who don’t, GET OUT!!!!!). Still don’t know what happened in SF - was it purely a power struggle?
From what I remember that's exactly what it was. I guess the 49ers have finally recovered from it but they really screwed up with Harbaugh.

If Jerry remains GM you may as well keep Garret.

Harbaugh...0-5 against his biggest rival. The biggest game of the year. And you think he's the anointed one to toughen up Dallas? You have got to be still Turkey drunk.

Maybe we can untie Brady's shoe. o_O

Why would Belichick come here? Even if QB1 retires his system is established, he’s got the players that fit his system and he has a great working relationship with Robert Kraft. I’d say our next coach will be one of Meyer, Riley or Harbaugh. If Jerry isn’t willing to give the new guy more input on personnel then it’ll be a Norton or Roman type hire. Which the latter I’d be fine with.
Lol zero idea where the Belichick rumor is coming from

This is pretty much true. One thing you will notice in Dallas is that there is this "look" players and coaches have as if they have been put in a dark trance - or institutionalized i some way. It's about Jerry actually being an owner/player-personnel/GM/Head Coach. He has somehow worked in a way to become a head coach without "calling it" a head coach per say. Notice that he talks to the media and addresses team performance in the way a coach would and Jason Garrett really doesn't. All Garrett does is go through very stoic answers which aren't answers. The most boring pressers in football history at any level. Jason doesn't speak for the team because -- he doesn't speak for the team. Jerry does. I do not buy into the BS Princeton thing. I mean Jason might be somewhat book smart who knows but he can't 'talk' to the guys in a way that is inclusive on a core level. He can't relate. He was a good backup QB back in the day, and maybe would be a good QB coach and possibly a good OC again but he isn't a leader of men in any way shape or form. Any man that comes here that actually is a leader of men will be given the Jerry Jones "I'm the boss and I am the real head coach without that title" treatment. The 90s with Jimmy was an aberration and a perfect storm that lasted a glorious several years. Had Parcells been allowed to do it his way I think we would have seen the same. I hope Jerry can once again before he passes just step aside a bit and allow someone like Urban Meyer to fix this once glorious franchise.

Exactly my point.

Okay...it sounded like sour grapes. Sorry. BUT....you just can't "out recruit". You HAVE to out coach and out perform. You HAVE to send players to the NFL. Ohio State sealed their fate when they beat Michigan, Wisky, Alabama and the media darlings Oregon Ducks to secure the 2014 NC. Not just beat but TROUNCED. That was not "lucky". Since then they've been recruiting NFL talent at every spot. That is how you beat your little interstate interconference rival...year after year. And if you can;t get hired and reposition your team to compete against it "change the culture"...why would we want him here?

So give us an example...probably in pictures I guess?...of Dallas Cowboys football players being in some "trance' that is SO different from other NFL teams and players.

Always wanted Harbaugh here thinking Meyer would stick to college. But now that he is free and seems to really wants the Cowboys job, I say Meyer is THE guy

Unless his health is an issue, I see no reason this to be a debate even

I can't remember Harbaugh winning a big game at Michigan. Harbaugh is an old-school QB coach who doesn't prefer the RPO QBs who are the future of the league. Drop back, pocket passing QBs will be extinct soon.

Harbaugh is at Michigan what Garrett would be at Michigan. And Harbaugh at Dallas would be the same as Garrett in Dallas. Same old boring offense. And lose all the big games.

College football is very different the the NFL, but I agree with you. Ohio is a far bigger program then little Michigan. I'm sure Harbaugh's recruiting NFL talent. Probably just hard to reel them in. Although that Ohio Michigan game was about as sloppy as I've seen. So maybe we dont want him. I just know hes a football guy that takes no nonsense and has had NFL sucess.
