If you can only have one next year who is your pick? Cooper or Dak?

And then remain a .500 team due to not having enough resources to build a super bowl contender. Great idea.
Oh so sign a bunch of average players instead and rejects other teams didn't want! That's how you remain a .500 team!

No, it's not. Overpaying a few stars is how you drop to .500. History is on my side.

Ridiculous question, all the Dak haters deserve 10 straight Quincy carter years.

Lol who goes with a WR just to draft a rook QB? Now you messed up the draft, we need DB and DT high in the draft, not a QB

easy, Cooper. Find a quick slot guy to complement Cooper and Gallup. Added with Zeke and this O-Line it be hard for the new young QB to struggle week to week. Should have 4 strong years of contention, not 4 years of waste.

At this point, neither. You have a qb that can can’t beat a winning team and a wr with constant leg related problems.

After we bottom out this season at 6-10 or 7-9, we could always pick up another WR in the draft. But who do we replace Dak with? Don't get me wrong, I don't think Dallas should pay him 30+ mil a year, I just don't know who will replace him. Remember 2015?

Let the hoodie decide after you pay him whatever the hell he wants while handing him the keys to the car making a solemn promise to stay the f out of his way.

I get what you are saying but I don't think the choice is as simple as some would make it out to be

It was basically this point last year when absolutely no one was talking about Dak getting paid even remotely what he's asking for

I the first 7 games of 2018 Dak had only surpassed 200 yards passing 3 times and had 8 passing TD in those 7 games

I'm not trying to be the "hater" that you are referring to but those numbers are abysmal. No other way to describe them.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to have the opinion that Cooper has been better for Dak than Dak has been for Cooper. Not saying it's the only conclusion to draw but it's certainly not as crazy as some people would make it sound
I agree, but it seems almost like Amari was the catalyst that got Dak going. He's been a better QB with all his receivers, and I think part of that is the confidence he gained throwing to Amari, and part of it being the work he put in over the off season.

Dak isnt going anywhere. You all have to make piece with that. He's a top 8-12 QB. This fanbase has honestly been spoiled. Top QBs dont hit the market. You have to get lucky and hit. Right now some of you are hoping we suck in order to get a high draft pick to select a QB that you hope within the next 3 or so years will be as good as Dak already is now....

Nope...can sign Bridgewater (UFA in 2020) instead of Dak and still draft a QB to groom.

With the year spiraling out of control and still no contracts in sight I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thought.

If you could only keep one of the two players Cooper or Dak to build around next year, who would you pick and why?
Dak

As long as Garrett’s gone it don’t matter. You’ve already overpaid 3 people but that’s the market and this trend will continue .

you are not going to be in position at 8-8 at worse to draft a qb better than what you got and cooper is legit

I feel like the defensive and offensive lines are what needs repaired more than receiver or qb then we need a secondary

this whole hypothetical is just unrealistic

Dak.

He is not the franchise QB i'd wish to have but he established himself as a low tier 2 QB.
To find such a QB is much harder then to find a legit #1 WR.

BTW i dont buy the "always-hurt-but-i-am-willing-to-play-thru-the-pains" antics from the Pooper. It was just a bit too much in the recent weeks. I dont believe this guy any more.

Lmao, so now we're paying someone whom isnt as good as Dak. Then we're still drafting a guy that we will hope in 3-5 years will be as good as Dak.

Congrats, that's worse.
