Just heard this on my way into work, it was the last line of his weekly show on 105.3 The Fan

The question to him was essentially "what is the bar for Jason Garrett to be kept as coach after this season"

Jerry went on to say that there wasn't a bar for keeping or for firing and that they have to look at a bunch of different things, he's heard some of the names being touted but "do they guarantee a Super Bowl?" etc, (bunch of filler)

and then he dropped that line... guys on The Fan are thinking it's along the lines of "not with the Cowboys"

anyone else hear that?

Jerry is an idiot with the “do they guarantee a Super Bowl?” This guy becomes a snake-oil salesman as soon as it comes to Jason. Why even say that?

Does signing Zeke to a massive contract guarantee a SB? Does making Dak the highest paid? Does any move?

“Is Jason likely to win a SB?”

He won't have a job here, but most of you are insane to think Garrett won't have teams that are interested in bringing him in as a HC or OC at the very least.

I would think that no one expects Garrett to not be coaching in the NFL next year. Most head coaches resurface as at least position coaches, coordinators, etc., even if they don't land another head coaching gig.

That's my hope. Truly a win-win scenario. And he can take his 'Fan Club' with him.

Then it's a win-win-win.
:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

As long as Idgit stays, he can take the rest of his fan club. That way he can flip the switch and be the first to want the new coach fired.

"In my opinion, Jason Garrett will be coaching in the NFL next year....there is no specific bar for keeping or for firing Jason Garrett..." - The Ringmaster
Well, here we go. Get ready for an extension....Jones loves the money, drama and media attention his mouth stirs.
I'm too old to put up with another 10 years of this bollocks from Jerrah.

The greatest fear Jerry has at this point in letting Garrett go,
is that he will have success somewhere else and it will expose
GM JJ decisions and control as the one who is limiting Dallas'
on the field performance.

He did not say Dallas Cowboys. Jerry opening his big mouth on these talks shows is a problem that will never go away. Garrett is such a company man. He should step down.

It really rings hollow when he claims he wants to win but then continually makes excuses for Garrett and has for nearly a decade.

You can't have it both ways, Jerry. You can't talk about how important wins are to you, the organization and the fans, but then turn around and run flak for Garrett when this franchise continually doesn't "win". It makes you look stupid, foolish, way too loyal, etc.

That last part about how he basically would be OK with the current situation coming out of August camp is precisely why people think he's full of it and so many fans have so little faith in him. There is no freaking way if you asked Jerry Jones in August if he'd be content with this team being 6-6 and only in the playoff hunt because the Eagles have a losing record.

He is 100% full of **** with that comment.
