Jesus...some of you want to cut bait because a guy got a neck stinger? He's our best player on defense by far....By the responses...I'd bet 97% of you have never had a nerve pinched in the neck. It takes weeks to heal...and going out and banging your head...all it's gonna do is reaggravate it.
Injuries happen....it's the NFL. He's gonna be fine given time. I'm more concerned about our idiot coordinators that don't know how to use him properly.

I like LVE, but if he's going to have lingering neck/back problems; cut bait now. The team waited on Smith (flash in the pan). Gregory, is at home playing video games, with his child. When will this team learn how to let go of dead weight?

There are a few lineman, that may also need to be moved, but the Cowboys will ride, until they die. The rigidity of this team is astounding. Do it one way for a long period of time, with little success.

Don't get me wrong, I want every player to receive equal opportunity to flourish. But this team is ridiculous. Talk, coddle, talk.
I want to take another look at him in 2020. A healthy LVE would be great. Trade LVE?
Yet we keep Rehab Sean?
Thankfully wiser minds can untangle this pileup in the secondary.

He’s only 23 and flashed pro bowl potential. I’d shut him down for the year to let him heal and improve his body. I personally think he’s a natural middle linebacker.

Randy Gregory and David Irving come to mind.

I agree with you about David Irving but Randy Gregory is a different matter completely. He was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder which causes him to suffer from emotional and mental problems. There is nothing wrong with having this man's back as he fights to get back to a life that is somewhat normal. The FO is right to stick with him.

You and others like you, need to learn how to comprehend. I did not say cut him for no reason. I said if he is going to have lingering injuries to his neck/back, they SHOULD cut bait. If it is temporary, yes, it would be ludicrous to get rid of a young, athletic, serviceable linebacker. I am glad Andrew Luck, has a brain for himself. Mahomes situation, does not even compare, but nice try.

You did not communicate your point very well.

Don't blame other people for your lack of clarity.

If he is going to have lingering injury problems he is playing for the right organization who will keep him on the payroll for a lengthy career.

This posts had nothing to do with what I stated, but enjoy your attempt at sarcasm.

The expression "fish or cut bait" has nothing to do with letting go of anything/anyone. It means either fish or cut bait. Do something. Be useful. :)

Lol you dont just cut bait with your round 1 pick. Let him play his years maybe 5 option and see what is actually up with injuries first lol

The if implied that Dallas would give him time to properly heal, and if he doesn't, let him go.

It's no stinger, but cutting him now would be moronic. I would definitely get more help at the LB position.

You don't cut high draft picks over a knee jerk reaction to a problem. Players get hurt sometimes, but that doesn't mean it's forever.

As for Smith, he may not be having the success he did last season, but it's nonsense to suggest he isn't a quality player. Cutting him before he got healthy would have been ridiculous.

This isn't trolling. I point out our team is mediocre, how do we look now? I point out that Zeke isn't worth the money he got, how does he look now? I've criticized Cooper for ghosting, how does he look now? I've called Dak mediocre, and he can't even beat a winning team this year.

For a "troll", I am pretty dang correct more often than you are which is why you've gone on to shut your mouth outside of cringe one liners you post to every thread that hurts your fragile feelings. The internet isn't for you, you're too fragile. Know your place and I'll continue to remind you where it is.
Sounds like you got it right if he is looking for reality.
