Troy's point is, of course, correct - but it's also a completely pointless one to argue.

Jerry is going to run the team the way he runs the team until he dies, and after he dies his goofball son is going to take over and probably run the team the exact same way. No amount of griping will change that. The only thing that can realistically change is the coach.

I agree with Aikman but he has zero right to criticize any way its run. He was part of the era where the Cowboys were a bunch of Coke and prostitute addicts. He didnt seem to have a problem with that.
That was an NFL problem. Not just a Cowboys issue. But seeing that the Cowboys were the best in the NFL at that time it was magnified. Troy has every right to criticize. If he can’t who can? Romo??? SMDH

Yes, it absolutely is. Jerry is, by far, the biggest problem with the organization. Having said that, I seriously Jerry called down from the owner’s box at the end of the first half last Thursday and told Jason to go into halftime with an unused timeout. I seriously doubt Jerry told Tavon Austin to not return the punt against Minnesota. And I doubt he told Tavon to line up too far back against New England.

Jerry is hard to work for, but that doesn’t mean you stop looking for a coach who can have success here.

Jerruah choosen coach isn't worth jack.

This was a disgusting thing to post. He had no control over what some players in that era did in their off time. I don't even blame Jerry for that crap. Your posts normally make sense but this was just way over the top. This crap post of yours is why we need a down vote button.
He also did nothing about it

LOL all we see in this forum is people talking about how clueless Aikman is when he would criticize Romo, Dez, the defense, Parcells ect. Now that he wants to criticize how this team is run you all on his jock? You guys are just as hypocritical as him.

I thought about what i typed and i meant every word of it. He was the leader of the team, he did nothing to stop the drugs and rest of that mess that brought the organization down. It wasnt Jerry, it started with Jimmy quitting on his team, and leaving that culture he allowed behind. The exact same culture he left at the University of Miami. Jimmy cared about winning, he didnt care how it was done. He didnt care about the players.

Now Jerry might not run the organization the way most would, but he genuinely loves every single person that he employs. This is why i defend Jerry so much. Because it doesnt matter if the team is losing or winning the guy backs his team 1000% and takes all the blame 1000% of the time. He's made some stupid decisions but dont act like he hasnt built winners, the players just didnt get it done. 2007, 2009(maybe) 2014, 2016.

I think Aikman has always been a straight shooter. Some on here don't understand that when you announce national games for a network that you have to bend over backwards to not show favortism. They listen to guys like Brad Schamm doing local broadcasts where he is a total homer and think that he's calling an unbiased game. There's nothing wrong with Brad being a homer, but he's not broadcasting nationally so he doesn't have to be neutral.

Well done to Troy for speaking up, but, sadly, it never matters.
Every time a Person of stature criticises him (Jimmy and Bill to name 2), it just makes him more determined to prove that he's a Football genius and that it's his vision and leadership that made the difference.
This team has become his vanity project.

Bulls, he has every right. He knows what is going on, he has been there and he is tired of watching this mess

I just don't understand some fans, they seem to take anyone that is critical of this team and owners personal. The this organization does no wrong blows me away. We are looking at a team if not for its history would be irrelevant for the last 2 decades. Ownership that waisted so many good players.

In the Aikman thread some are pissed at Troy for speaking the truth. It just doesn't make sense.

Hiring a GM is not automatically going to make this team better. ( IMO) Because Jerry will not let a GM or a coach get rid of, what he considers to be, key players. So no matter who comes in all of the big budget players will still be here even they don't fit the new guys design concept.

So prepare yourself for another decade of being just OK.
