Do some research on the team, look at the post Aikman years. If Jerry hadn't stumbled upon and UDFA Romo, followed by a 4th round pick, we'd be in bigger trouble.
Since Aikman, Jerry has never went after an elite QB prospect in the draft. Some of these posters would rather settle for Dak than to take a chance on drafting a great QB. I understand that they like the security that Dak provides, but I don’t understand their fear of searching for a better, cheaper replacement.

I don't see Bridgewater as an upgrade either, but I think he'd be a lot cheaper, and wouldn't be a big drop off, IMO.
Bridgewater ain’t signing cheap as you think. Just cause he signed in NO as a back up he won 6 games in a row and he’ll be looking to cash in.

they’ll be a difference in the amount Dak gets and bridgewater if NO let’s him get away but the difference won’t be as large as you think

Nope. There are many many players throughout the NFL playing for contracts. Not to mention the fact you have NO CLUE what Jerry has done to wrap this up. Many here assume it’s on Jerry for not getting it done. That is pure speculation. Again, the drama is stirred up by the fans in discussions like this one. No discussions by the fans, there is no drama.
We have had reports what Jerry’s done to wrap this up ( links provided)and resolve the negotiations. It sounds as though he’s ready to sign. I’d lean it’s more on Dak holding out for more based on these reports. And where much of the drama is derived from with fans in whether Dak is worth more than the apparent offers from Jerry.

Usually only Top high profile players create this type of drama much like we saw with Elliott and prior players like Dez. It’s common to create drama discussed by fans. Not to mention the drama we’ve had over HC signing.

To suggest we haven’t had other drama on contract holdouts or pending negotiations appears to be a selective memory or false narrative. Fans and media obviously add to the drama. But the fact there’s holdouts or stalled negotiations is the core cause of the extended drama.

I would honestly tag him, bring in a new coaching staff, and see what they can do with him. Dak may not be all world elite, but, I think he is certainly good enough to win with. As many have pointed out in this thread numerous times, it's not easy to just go and draft a guy. It is definitely a crapshoot and I would say the odds are not in favor of the franchise.

How much was I thinking? :D

Actually, I was thinking Teddy would sign for around 25. I could be wrong, but then I don't think anyone else will pay him more than that.

This IS an 'about Dak' thread because you made it about Dak. So, he's not as good as 3 probable HoF QBs and we should just keep trying to get a HoF QB until we do?

Good lord........

Of course he did ........ Just like every other thread.
The Dak hate is like a virus.

Yep, now that I've seen how much of a low life, classless tool a human being is capable of being, it's too late to change my path and avoid seeing it.

Yea ...... You should probably avoid mirrors ....... But then you would not be able to take embarrassing, mid life crisis, selfies .....

;)

He’s probably not worth more than Foles.
It might depend on the team. I think Bridgewater is better suited to a team without a really good O-line, but Foles is probably the better passer when he has protection.

both cousins and Garoppolo were available to them in later rounds the years they were taken. but of course we had Antonio Ramiro and thought he would play forever.

he put on a pretty good show in his stint with new orleans. and given the value of qb's, I doubt he'd go for 25 million.

He did play well, but he used to be a starter, then became a backup for a reason. I'm guessing a lack of consistency, but I honestly haven't followed his career that closely.

a mirror is not necessary to take a selfie. you have returned to your original state of jerkdom.

a horrific knee injury. one that had some doctors saying he would never play again. fortunately, his story had a happy ending.
