In what way did any of these players you named sacrifice anything? Aikman, Irvin, Romo..
IIRC, both Aikman and Irvin got paid max salaries during their era and Irvin was and still is known for flashy attire.
I think Romo made almost 200m with the Cowboys. He sacrificed some of his health, but not much else.
As for Tank...he got a nice toy. It's almost Christmas. Why not treat himself?
I've come to the right man! Why don't you tell them they have to spend some money on me? My house could use some updates.No. They only spend the money when I say they can. Lol. It was a joke. I understand what some fans think. When we are losing some fans are mad and likely as upset or more upset than the players and hates to see them having fun.
All three of the guys I used as examples are notoriously passionate about winning - to a fault. I don't know how you could say different. You don't have to know them personally to know how much they wanted to win.I don't have enough knowledge about any of them to suggest either. My point is they ALL got paid and how can you assume to know one way or the other when we don't know them personally.
Money was a supplement to their desire to win. These days, money is their main concern
See a few of my later posts lol. Dang! I'm getting shredded - I should have been more specific in the first postI dont get it, what are you angry about OP?
Appreciate it budI think that may be the most concise summation of the issue with modern day professional sports as I've seen.
Well said.
I think all incoming NFL rookies are required to sit through some kind of seminar about responsible money management.I am not concerned with how a player spends his money. But if i were an owner, and paid a great amount of money in a contract to a player, I would make him sit down and watch this ESPN documentary. Everytime he showed up with a new ride, or bragged about some outlandish expenditure.

I would've gotten the 911 GT3RS and the Huracan Performante...Pfft, rookie move......I would have bought two!
If they don’t back into the playoffs then JJ should pay us all at least 10,000. He can swing it.I've come to the right man! Why don't you tell them they have to spend some money on me? My house could use some updates.
You want to see passion from the players and commitment to get that ring. Our team is losing and sometimes it’s seems like the fans care more.See a few of my later posts lol. Dang! I'm getting shredded - I should have been more specific in the first post
In your OP, you suggested they sacrificed to do that. I'm saying they didn't sacrifice anything. They ALL got paid. They didnt sacrifice anything to actually win. And according to more than a few, Romo didn't even win. So how does buying a car that most people would if they could equate to him not being passionate about winning? All three of the guys I used as examples are notoriously passionate about winning - to a fault. I don't know how you could say different. You don't have to know them personally to know how much they wanted to win.
