6-6, no wins against teams over .500

Sorry if the truth hurts.

if you were a real fan, you'd put your head in the sand and be a good little ostrich

I think the Cowboys, no matter how hard they try to get past it, are at a mental block with regards to Garrett's tenure being over, and are suffering burnout.
I think they will lose again on Thursday night despite being the better team, and that will be the sign to Jerry that this is over and has to end immediately.
Despite other options, look for Kellen Moore to be named interim head coach and then made official after the season ends.
I just don't think the Cowboys can mentally function to play up to potential now that the end is in sight for Garrett.
Just my 2 cents worth.
I honestly don’t even think Jerry’s stupid enough to appoint a guy head coach who hasn’t even completed one full year as a coordinator. That has fail written all over it. I think he lets Garrett remain the rest of the season and then things (hopefully) change.

Been watching since 1965 and it's the first time I can ever recall the team imploding. Even at 1-15 there was no implosion .. we were just really bad because we had really bad players. That is not the case this time around.

Because of the Eagles losing, Garrett is still in the drivers seat even with Thursday loss. Jerry said as long as they’re in contention he feels he needs jason

What first place team fires a coach in mid season? There will be a more appropriate time soon enough

Garrett isn't getting fired, Jerry will move on from Garrett after the season by not offering him a new contract
Exactly, why bother firing him, when you can just let his contract expire.
Firing JG now does not automatically turn this team into a SB contender.
Look at this way,, we get a slightly better draft pick if Garrett remains HC for the rest of this season.

Jerry also was Wades biggest supporter until the day he fired him

I think Jerry set Wade up. I mean, he had to know what was going on with the play calling and he watched the Defense fade late in games, time after time.

Jerry was the one who made the call on how the team would be run, Wade had the D but Garrett had full control of the Offense, as the OC. Look at how the games were called from the time Wade was HC and from the time Garrett was named as interim HC. Notice the pass vs run changes. Under Phillips, we through the ball way more. Defense was worn down late in games almost every game. Once Garrett was named, we went to an almost 50/50 balance between run and pass. Helped the Defense and the rest of the story you know.

Jerry had to know what was going on there IMO. He's not stupid.

Based on my prediction after watching every game by both teams all season.
I am allowed to do that here. Right?
Make a harmless prediction just like someone who predicts the other way.

Doesn't mean it will happen, because nobody knows the outcome before it occurs.
The outcome wouldn't surprise me either way, but I just think Dallas gets a couple of turnovers and pulls it out.

Not only allowed but encouraged to do so DFW!

This is the truth. If Jerry has proven anything over the years, it's that he will do things how he wants to. Jerry says that he never wanted to fire Coach Landry the way it happened but, somebody leaked the story right? Jerry is the only one who knew when and how he would fire Coach Landry and replace him with Jimmy.

Jerry knew that the situation with Jimmy was critical and that if he didn't pull back on his efforts to try and effect Coaching decisions, it would be over between he and Jimmy but Jerry pushed forward anyway and basically forced the issue with Jimmy, which effectively ended what should have been 5 Super Bowl run.

Jerry knew full well that Parcells was a shop for the groceries, cook the dinner kind of Coach. He agreed to certain things when Parcells came on board and a few years later, after Bill had effectively remade the team, Jerry reverted back to his ways and Parcells went his own way.

Jerry hired Wade Phillips as the HC but who did he hire first? He hired Garrett first and then forced him on Wade. He hired Garrett as OC with on experience as an OC. He only had two years of coaching experience in the NFL.

All the terrible seasons and .500 seasons we have seen over the past 10 years, all the times the Fans were sure that Garrett was going to get fired, all the times we have watched this team and Coaching staff make bonehead calls to lose games and Jerry still never fired Garrett. These are only a few examples of Jerry doing whatever Jerry wants to do. I mean, I get it, it's his team and he is going to do what he wants but the fact still remains that Jerry does what Jerry wants and we have spent season after season thinking that this has to be the last straw, only to see Jerry keep Garrett. I don't bet anything on Jerry firing Garrett until I actually see Jerry do it.

Jerry made it clear that Garrett won't be fired during the regular season. Either way, I root for the Cowboys to go 10-6, starting tomorrow night. One game at a time. We might as well hope to get on a roll because we have no control over what Jerry does (even when we agree with it).

Nah.. .I see 8-8.... 9-7 at best... We will win the division but that's as far as we go...
