This is a league of youngsters, what happened to the Bob Lilly's, mean Joe Greene's, Emmitt Smith, just keep the finger, get me back in their coach . Feed me feed me. Take me out I'm hungry. Can't practice it's too hot out. LOL this is not the NFL I remember. Yes I still love the game there's still heart emotion. But it's far and few. You know what I'm talkin about
I'm a youngin and didn't get to watch a lot of the oldies. But from all the videos I have watched of players from those days you are absolutely correct. It's become all about money and less about the passion for the game

I blame everything on social media.
I don't blame you. I look at my profession. Everyone I talk to in my profession is having a hard time finding workers including me. the ones they do find want $20 an HR start with zero experience. Social media has created an entitled generation

this feel pretty Ok Boomer...but the reality is it's just cheaper to keep younger players and just recycle them.

productivity has risen every year and wealth has increased but wages have stagnated. It's not so much people are entitled more so that people are less likely to put up being exploited by rich people.

I've had about 10 kids in the last few years tell me that they wanted a job, but wouldn't do anything but run the mower.

It’s the fans’ fault. By being willing to pay so much to watch this game in person, buy the merch, tune in by the millions to watch, etcetera; we’ve turned it into multi millionaires playing a game.

What does the feed me sign have to do with it.
Zeke is still more old style than many RB’s. Because he can do it all.
He can run it up the middle with no wiggle. He is what he is. A short yardage power back.

Most of the rockers wore make up so the music industry made being metrosexual a thing. Their star power along with Prince and Michael lead us down this road... Where soft is the new popular and toughness is no longer celebrated.

Add in Mohammed Ali and CTE...and you've got yourself a new NFL.

It's the changing world, partner. I can't even enjoy watching bullridin anymore. Cowboy hats replaced by helmets. Chest protectors under shirts. The folks don't want sports to have an element of danger. I have to accept it ain't about what I want. It's about what the majority wants.

I don't really even think it's what a majority wants - particularly in football. I think rather, it's the damage some lawyer can do somewhere from an off the wall legal action that has the entire country dumbed down to flotsam.

Yeah you’re right. Cooper and Zeke pulling themselves out every other play is ridiculous. We need a coach who will put a stop to that nonsense.

Wow, hell froze over . Are you in my messages lol. I just told a couple worker the same exact thing...

You know I saw a guy on the side of the road getting his flat tire replaced by a AAA guy. I just shook my head.
Huh?
What is that even supposed to mean? Don't you wish the litmus test for manhood was a tire change? There are a lot of things real men are supposed to do.

A lot got killed in WW2 I enjoy talking to the ones we have left at the club and its not many now as they are in their 90s . These men saved the world. When a guy can pull out a kids history book and show you a picture of himself on the Barry with a plane sticking out of the side and he survived thats a man

Tom Landry was one of those men flying bomber missions and being shot down . Not really a wonder how coaching a football game was childs play for him . Things have just gotten progressively softer . I look at Landry then at Garrett . Like comparing Clint Eastwood to Richard Simmons Sheesh .

Its like many of the good things that have been slowly made worse and evolved in to a cheap excuse for the product they once were . Why should men be any different . For many older fans football is bordering on being unwatchable .

But hey us old guys at least got to see Bob Lilly sack Bob Greise for a 24 yrd loss We watched Butkus and Lambert . We saw Deacon Jones headslap the spit out of some guys . DoomsDay Fearsome foursome , Purple peopleeaters now we got the Hot Boyz . What a snowflake bunch of crap Im Out .

Yup. That's exactly what I'm going through. I specifically list must be good with ladders and heights in my job post. I hire the guys and they refuse to climb ladders. I'm not paying someone $20 an HR to hold things and cleanup. Ever since one of my best guys left for the union I've gone through people of every age group trying to replace him. So far 5 people have failed at the job.
productivity has risen every year and wealth has increased but wages have stagnated. It's not so much people are entitled more so that people are less likely to put up being exploited by rich people.
I'm far from Rich. I'm in the poorer end of middle class. I work more hours than any of my guys and carry the responsibility of 5 people on my shoulders. As the owner I only make $25 an HR if you compare what I'm left with at the end of the year and how many hours I put in. So if I'm going to be paying someone $20 an HR they better be just as productive as me and helping the jobs go smoothly. I shouldn't have to work my arse off to provide for someone else.
