The Cowboys essentially have a two game lead on the Eagles by virtue of the tie breaker. If the Cowboys beat the Eagles, gaining one game and maintaining the tie breaker it would be an almost insurmountable lead for the Eagles to overcome.

Lol regardless of result tnite and next week the philly game will matter for us week 16. Win and we win the division. Even if we lose next two and eagles win next two. We’d go in a game behind... win and we’d be tied with an inside track for the division (having to beat skins week 17)

Now win tnite and a philly loss to a division opponent. Then we wouldn’t need to win week 16. Even if we were tied after that game we’d end up with a bretter conference record

-Correction - When Cowboys beat the Bears and if the Giants somehow beat the Eagles. We would have to beat the Eagles or Commanders and we would win the East.

They don’t have “essentially a two game lead”.

Because if both teams win until week 16 but we lose in Philly, we lose the division. So we have what we have...... a one game lead

If we are tied after the Eagles game, they have the lead because the have the better common opponent record. Conference record wouldn’t factor in.

The tie-breaker is meaningless unless and until they win both games. The season doesn't end until after they play twice.

Conference record is down the line of division tie-breakers.

On the flip side, if Dallas loses to Philly, the Eagles will likely hold the tiebreaker.

It probably comes down to that game because neither team looks poised to finish strong.

The Cowboys could easily lose the next two games.
