Do we need 1 backer or 2 in the draft?

ya the only one on that list I would miss is Quinn and to lesser degree maybe Bennett pretty much everyone else is improvement by subtraction. I get your point though if you dont feel there is a window or never was. Im just saying the offensive side of the ball is young and can be considered talented even though they at times dissapear

Young at some spots. OL and Zeke getting old quick. And if they make a mistake to sign some of these offensive guys to big contracts then we are skrewed.

firing Garrett and marinelli is a must at this point but that only touches the surface

we need DTs to protect the LBs. DTs that can hold the line, hold the gaps and push the pocket....instead we have basement bargain Antwon Woods smoking it up.....plus our scheme is read and react which puts the LBs in a disadvantage having to sit on their heels and reach tot he play as oppose to attacking the offensive line

The defense is a hot stinking turd and most of the problems are systemic and organizational. The team is poorly coached and managed. You have to start there. Throwing in a new LB isn't going to fix anything.

ya they already made a mistake wit Zeke. They have or will have the cap space but it may not be the right thing to do? Its going to be interesting. Im not opposed to paying Dak and Cooper but id prefer fixing the defense through the draft with maybe 1 quality FA aquisition

I agree and even if we acquire one of those we still need backers. LVE and his status concerns me and the rest of the back 7 need to go to tackling class

That’s mostly our problem. We continue to resign guys like Covington, Hyder who aren’t worth a crap.

Start fresh with new hungry faces that want to win.

It does. This team CANNOT draft defense so we are best off getting another qb and paying for defenders. Although they arent great at signing FA's either. It's kind of a crapshoot but we dont want to be stuck with some underpreforming overpaid scrub like philly and LA

Im sorry I disagree not that we don't have flaws behind center but this defense is horrid and the QB isnt the reason we keep losing

You can’t get everything we need in the draft
The quality of the picks just won’t happen
We need DB, safety, DT, LB, TE
I mean about the only spot we have depth is oline and WR
They aren’t gonna fix all this in the draft or FA
You have to hit on 2-3 picks that can come in and contribute right away
As for FA I think rather than a bunch of decent depth players you go get a very good player at one spot then pray you can hit on 2-3 more in the draft

I never thought I would say this, but if the Cowboys are drafting in the 10-12 range and a franchise QB falls to them, they may have to pick him. I like Dak, but two weeks in a row now two young QBs made him look silly.

Assuming LVE is healthy, between him and Smith OLB is more than covered. What we are missing is a hard nosed, stuff the run / fight through blocks ILB. Smith and LVE's strengths are mobility and chasing down plays, but they aren't hard nosed interior guys.
