Jerry Jones said something a while ago about coaching and continuity that I can buy he was bringing coaches in and out of here like it was a candy store the only problem is he pick wrong damn coach and with his belief that he wanted continuity he just kept going with a bad thing 5 years should have been a good idea of what Garrett was or wasn't? I mean the proof is in the pudding he's been beat by younger Minds first year coaches just don't see how you can't see that or is it more of that he just doesn't want to deal with it and admit that he is wrong? I'll tell you what my life got a lot easier after I started admitting my mistakes and moving on Jerry needs to do the same

If we should happen to lose to the Bears which is a very good possibility I don't see why you just don't let him go how could Richard or someone else not run this team better than the way it is being run right now? It might be the kick in the rear that they need I believe he should have done it after the Buffalo game question mark now I know a lot of people on here will disagree with me but when you have a bad leader out there and he refuses to change it's just going to be the same thing or get worse? I don't see how I could possibly get any worse with an interim coach

Unless as it has been suggested by some of these players are just not smart enough to run difference schemes? I find that hard to believe though

But here I go beating that dead horse again there has to be a COMPLETE CULTURE CHANGE !!! Including Jerry he did it once before when he brought Parcells in here he needs to do it again and stick with it! Someone was talking last night about how short of a time it took with Baltimore and the 49ers it can happen that fast here if Jerry lets it

Garrett will get to the end of the year, at the very least. Hell, I'm not even convinced Garrett is out. I've seen this picture show many times over the years. Jerry will do what he wants on this and it might not be what we all expect. I've seen it before.

If the team fails to make the playoffs or has a weak showing in the playoffs, I doubt Garrett is retained. But I agree he can save his job despite the wishes of most posters here today.

I hope the votes i see to extend him are pure sarcasm or is that Garrett and his wife responding?

I see 11 votes to extend them. I would say 4 votes are clearly Jason, his wife and 2 brothers, 1 is obviously Jerry, the other 6 can be explained in a multitude of ways, shaky hands when voting from neurological issues, high impact head injuries or potentially even some troll/bot situation. No one who is not already institutionalized would have selected that option on purpose, as we all know..hope this breakdown helps...

What difference does it make then? Aside from sending the message things gotta change...in a BIG way. Or are you expecting that in the next few games?

Guess I don't see the point in firing him if it isnt going to make a difference, and at the very least Garrett has shown a little life when his head's on the line. I think he is as likely to spark them as anyone else on the current staff.

Its not fair guys , Garrett is Jerry's victim .

Jerry gives Garrett the worst roster, and still Jason "the guru" Garrett makes the playoffs 3 times in 10 years.

What else do you want guys !? Jerry abuses everyone, makes them puppets.

I feel bad for Garrett , he is Jerry's victim .

Jason got paid like a peon . 6 million per year, for the past 10 years ? ... dirt poor .

Garret is that guy that keeps playing the same slot machine over and over till he is broke and ruined.

Let's not!
Austin never lived up to his billing with the Cowboys, which is the same issue he had as a member of the Rams for his first five years in the league. Last season, Dallas paid him $3 million according to OverTheCap.com.

Austin would record just eight receptions for 140 yards and two touchdowns as injuries limited him to seven games.

PINK SLIPS: Austin, Garrett, Brown, Hill, Maher,
Marinelli, Richard & O'Quinn
this dual te passing attack cant beat anybody. Our 11 and 12 formation on passing downs We have scrubs at te who cant score consistently or make winning plays and are not good receivers. Tavon Austin is not a great #1 option but hes head and shoulders above Jarwin and Witten. This offense needs to draw up more plays without #82 and Jarwin. They are clearly not adding any firepower to our offense but Garrett and Jerrah are gonna stick with the sorriest te core in history on every passing snap anyways just like they did w Swaim last year. Why these checkdown tes are being featured on 3rd and long and in the red zone goes beyond logical thinking. Their open rate, catch rate, scoring rate, and success rate against non division teams is trash. All of our passing plays are built around a te thats never made a game winning play in 5+years. Take your pick #82, james Hanna, Geoff Swaim, Gavin Escobar, Blake Jarwin, Dalton schultz, or any full back weve had in 10 yrs has never done squat and we dont have a potent enough te to continue w this te dominated passing scheme. Our defense isnt that great either but 99% of our problem is scoring points and Everybody on Gods Green Earth knows our Tes cant score beans unless its against the Giants or Skins. If we bring in a new coach is he gonna bring a new offensive scheme or build around #82??? Pro Football Focus said we need to draft a stud te if were gonna scheme around them and Jerrah made that call. Im sure wittens endorsements has more to do w it than experience but these tes are holding us back based upon their USAGE

If the poll was still open, I'd switch my vote from end of season to now.

Anything to rock the boat.

I would too as long as I was assured the whole coaching staff would be shown the door in 3 weeks.

I thought everyone staying gave the best, even if low, chance to make a run. Now I think if SOMETHING doesn't change they have zero shot, so may as well try something different.

But if I'm reading your post right , I feel the same. The risk that an interim coach may do just well enough to get offered a HC contract was another reason to keep Garrett in place until the end of the season.
