I know I'm over this team. Garrett and the Coaching Staff needs to be replaced but this team was obviously overrated. Jaylon Smith got paid and has been terrible, Lawrence has been underwhelming, Awuzie is just tough to watch and nobody can tackle on this team. Dak passes for a ton of meaningless yards and the team just forgets about Zeke. Horrible penalties and we've all seen how absolutely awful the Special Teams have been. And another wasted year for a team that hasn't been to the Super Bowl in over 2 decades...Pathetic

I feel just as apathetic about this team as the team is about this team...JJ is worse than Al Davis, at least Al would fire garbage...

Agree this team is disgusting. And unfortunately the downward spiral may continue into the foreseeable future with the big contracts they signed, aging OL etc.

In the Game Day Menu thread, I mentioned that my wife and I are in Louisville, Kentucky for a wedding. We have been entertained with great food, a beautiful city and some awesome Bourbon tasting. Yesterday was especially fun as most of the host and hostesses at the distillers were dressed in 1920 period piece costumes to commemorate the repeal of Prohibition.

What does this have to do with the Cowboys? Not much in the scheme of things other than I didn't worry or stress out about another loss.

Y'all better pull up your big boy panties and strap yourselves in because nothing is going to change until Jerry is gone.

I honestly think everyone on this team has given up. Garrett looks more dead than ever. Even Richard "the fiery DC" looks done. Our players sulking on the sidelines (did you see our defense after the first half on the sideline?). Bennett laying on the ground after missing a tackle. Dak missing and not caring. I honestly don't think they care. I think they're aware they're done, they just can't come out and say it.
What you said is spot on and I agree. We do have a ton of talent on this team so the only explanation is that the players and coaches see the writing on the wall and can't find the fire. It's actually incredibly sad to witness knowing jerry could of avoided this by doing what was right last year after the Rams embarrassed us.

Folks who opine that the solutions in Dallas don't simply involve player/coaching changes are probably right. I think it was Troy who said a few years ago that for the team to be competitive again, the entire organization needs structural change and serious overhaul, from the owner on down. Help wanted, only "football people" need apply. Im sure there are some who recommend a blow-up, too.

Hmmm....I don’t know, most disgusted ever? I doubt this is for me,i mean let’s face it...I’ve got a laundry basket of insane tirades to back that up,but cheer up....might get a HC who does get us over the slumps. Garrett I think is a fine coach for losing teams you want to build up and compete with, but good teams he can’t benefit as much. Well there’s some names floating around who can win with good teams. Now the only question we should really be asking ourselves....can the FO make some changes themselves? I don’t like the stubbornness I hear. It can’t be just hire a new HC and he needs to win with as is. For this to work...FO must give up a little more rope on team concerns. If a HC wants his guys and team ran his way. Get out of his way on some areas and let him prove or disprove himself on his own merits of that. So there we are.....that’s wedge point we are at. Aikman laid it out.....they are too busy on the business of business, but not the business of football.

This team will NEVER really compete for a SB again. These are the reasons:

1. Hollywood atmosphere - how many players have their own show?
2. Too much publicity and public scrutiny - Other teams don't get same coverage it affects the whole team. Does national media call out Matt Ryan and Matt Stafford? Nope
3. Mental toughness - there isn't any
4. Happy to be here. Wearing a start thinks it makes the player a star
5. Its entertainment - from the stadium, to Ford Center, stripper poles. It is not head down and winning
6. Jerry - sorry, thanks for the past SBs, but that era is long gone. It will not matter who he hires as coach, same result will happen
I strongly disagree with you here. There is no doubt that if we get a great coach whom is in charge things will change. I'm just not going to give up hope on that happening because there is a chance.

I did something last night I have never done before while watching a Cowboys game. Every time there was a gaffe I burst out laughing. When our defense was flailing around and missing multiple tackles on plays I was saying "Oh my GAWD!" and laughing like a mental patient. When we kicked it off and it went out of bounds I yelled "Yes!" and laughed some more.

I wanted us to fail spectacularly because I know that is the only way anything will change. I did not feel bad about it, either.

Exactly. The people who think it's just about Garrett are kidding themselves.

I'm fine with firing him, I just don't expect miracles. This culture predates his arrival as head coach. It starts at the top and shows no sign of changing. Just get mad, fire the coach, and do it again.

Jerry created this cancer in 2007 when he hired Garrett and made him Assistant Head Coach and made it known that Garrett would one day be in charge.
Garrett has never had to earn anything. He was only with the Cowboys because of his dad, and then made head coach despite his offense being the reason for the collapse in 2010.
Jerry needs to cure the cancer he created- cut it out and remove it.
Jerry, himself, is the daddy of all Cowboys cancers. Yet, there will be 90,000 fans at the next game. He doesn't have any incentive to change.

I did the exact same thing. When Trubiski ran for his score, I let out an emphatic "YES!!!". I knew the game was lost before that score and I was hoping for a complete blowout.
