Last Night Was The First Time I Ever Turned a Cowboys Game Off

I have missed games because of other obligations but last night was the first time I had enough and turned the game off. I was with my girlfriend and she likes to watch with me but I turned it off and we watched a Christmas movie together (she loves them). I am in a different mindset these days. I am not going to let a team who has no direction, doesn't care and is lost consume me any longer. As the weeks go on with this team, my interest is dwindling. I don't even get upset any longer at losses. I'm just numb to this whole thing and honestly, I enjoy watching other games more than ours. I actually get to watch coaches make adjustments,a game of chess being played and just a fun brand of football.

Our games are so depressing. We do the same things over and over and over. On both sides of the ball. No team has to guess what we are doing.

This team is empty and hollow. Nothing redeeming at all about it in any aspect. Every single extension we made this offseason has blown up.

My interest in this season in terms of Dallas is bottoming out. It's almost pointless to discuss any adjustments because none will be made. Coaching changes? Nope.

Making the playoffs? Who cares. Both Dallas and Philly will be destroyed by either Seattle or SF.

First time? JG has been here 10 years. I’ve turned it off multiple times in that span.

I watched the whole thing, only my reasons for watching change. I no longer get angry watching this circus. I just wait to see Jerry and Stephen looking dumbfounded in the owner's box, again.

Those who want to keep telling themselves the 90s teams weren't about Jimmy will be doing so for a long time because these two jokers won't be lifting any trophies.

I switched over to watch Evil towards the end of the game. Figured I could google this morning to see how much we lost by.

I missed the Thanksgiving game for the first time in well over 10 yrs. I volunteered to work and didn't regret it. I watched this last game for a total of 10 minutes, turning it, then turning back. I haven't bought cowboys merchandise in probably 5 years and only stream the games online for free99. We all get to a point. JG has got to go.

That is a pretty good assessment of the current state of the Cowboys.

Dang depressing!

Same for me. I turned it off right after the offensive three and out to start the second half. The defense had just put up little resistance and given up a touchdown. I figured the offense would come out and do something, but nope they were a joke. I decided not to waste anymore of my time on them.

I love the Cowboys, but it's getting real hard to keep supporting this s*** show they roll out every week.

Thankfully I had to leave for work at halftime, but managed to listen to the rest of the game on the radio.

I will say, though, I managed to even do that because I feel pretty much nothing for this current team. I mean, why should we even think for a second that this team could possibly have a successful playoff run? This team has been making the same mistakes for 13 games now, teams take advantage, and Dallas does nothing to address their issues. They just go out the following week and do it all over again. They won't even get rid of a kicker who can't even kick from both hashmarks.

Being 32 years of age, I can't recall being this numb towards the team I've loved all my life. IMO, this run is worse than Wade Phillip's final days, probably because we didn't have to wait until the end of the season to see Wade get his pink slip.

At this point, just let this dumpster fire burn.

I haven't missed a game. Even when I was on vacation in Disneyland I watch Jimmy Johnson coach Miami. first game against the Cowboys this is the first game I have ever turned off in the first quarter I had to do any other things going on but that's never stopped me before.. I understand it the disgust

I've done it three times this season.

I should've done the same thing considering I almost threw my remote into the TV.
