Only it won't be the final nail. Dallas could lose 40-0 to the Rams and still control their own destiny for winning the division.

JG isn't going anywhere until the Cowboys are eliminated, whether we like it or not.

Jerry won't fire Garrett. And he doesn't need to fire him. His contract will be up after this season. He will give Garrett every chance to make the playoffs and do something to save his job. Even if that chance is almost zero.
