QB is down on the list of most concerning. Let’s go through it here. You have a 26 year old QB that’s proven he can win in the playoffs. His stats are much better than most other young QBS. He’s not elite and probably will never be but he is GOOD enough.

1. you need a new Coaching staff. A proven. Leader of men, with a sound scheme that’s able to take advantage of the opponents vulnerabilities.

2. You need to fix the DT spot. If we’re going to role with LVE and Smith that’s fine but, every great defense has always had two good DT’s that free up LB’s and allow them to flow.

3. You need to get better TE’s. I’ve been watching the 49ers and Ravens carefully. What makes their running game so good is that their TE’s are able to block DE’s 1v1 and it frees up the OL to get to the 2nd level.

4. You need a SS who’s an exceptional Tackler. This would help tremendously in run support. We need a Physical Ss who can play down and in the middle who’s not afraid to come up and lay the wood.

5. Get a new kicker and punter. our field position has been atrocious this year. Chris Jones has been BAD and ranks 30th in pint average. Maher well he just sucks.

start with those 5 things and I think you’ll see a huge difference in this team next year.
As long as Jerry doesn't hire a yes man for the coaching position, I imagine the new coach will have a say in what direction this team goes at QB. Most coaches aren't given the ungodly amount of time that JG has been given, and the new coach will want HIS guys.

He's in a weird grey area

I think even with our joke of a coaching staff he's still better than the lower tier franchise starters like Dalton, Tannehill, Mariota, Flacco, Newton

He's probably a mid tier franchise guy at this point which isn't bad (the Stafford, Cousins, Carr type).

Problem is we won't get him for mid tier money, his agent wants high tier cash (The rodgers, wilson, Brees money)

It remains to be seen.

Is he the problem or is it the obviously inept coaching staff?

The only way to know is to bring in a competent coach and see what happens.

Im not entirely ready to give up on him yet.
I favor this notion. Give a new coaching staff a shot.

I don't think at this point you can say to your franchise big money guys (Martin, Lawrence, Zeke, La'el) "Hey where gonna waste your prime years by drafting a young prospect QB who may or may not end up being slightly better than Dak"

Because he had a 51 QBR?

If you got a C+ on a test in school, would you be boasting about it to your parents?

Well, YOU might have. Smart kids had higher standards than that.

He had a 59.1 QBR, get it right.

Maybe look up the QBR before spouting off.

Even Gruden, who got the security of a 10 year contract, still had to accept Carr as part of the deal. Jerry will insist upon Dak being part of any deal I would assume, along with who knows what else.

My bad, 59.1.

Still not that good.

Still like a C+ if a 50 is a C.

LOL so now you know what is and isn't good against winning teams/good defenses

Last week you were pretty ignorant on what is the average for QBs against these kinds of teams. So, at least you're starting to admit the ESPN QBR is a load of BS that is flawed at it's core.
