I brought this up after the Titans game last year when Troy said the team needed to start over. I thought at that time he was pitching for a job. We’ll see if anything transpires this year.

What would response be if Troy was named president but they made Richard coach? Jerry’s way of having it both ways.

Aikman would never take the job unless he had full control of football operations.

In other words, he's never working in Dallas for Jerry Jones.

Troy would be a top 5 coach in the league in my opinion, but I don't know if he wants to coach or be a GM

I don't understand what people think he could just be a coach? There are lots of former players that coach their way through the systems before being anointed HC.

Troy in a coaching position would be wasted talent.............he's more of a white collar executive GM type than a head coach type.

The Dolphins have a tremendous amount of draft picks. Even though I like this coach, maybe GM or VP of operations.

Well, he did handpick David Lafleur.

Troy will always be the man, but that's the first thing I think of too if someone says "Troy for GM." If I recall, I think he was even working out with Lafleur before the draft to see if he was "the one" to replace Novacek.
