I would be happy with a clean sweep of the coaching staff, but this way too oversimplified blame game that seemingly absolves the players for on the field play is stupid.

Nobody is coaching Jaylon into taking false steps, whiffing in the open field. Nobody is coaching Dak into holding onto the ball and running out of bounds behind the LOS for a loss...
Man, that pissed me off. I knew right then that we were gonna lose.

The big reason he is leading is because we are always playing from a big deficit and we abandon the run even when we are one score down and next thing interception or 3 and out and we are 2 scores down and really forget the run.

True, empty stats. It’s a real thing. I think Eli’s been padding his for 7 years prior to being benched this year. Cousins has always had real nice yearly statistical numbers but without the wins prior to this year. With the way the passing games have evolved in this current league there’s just a bunch of guys that can be lumped into the nice stats/but lack wins group. Dak is one of ‘em this year.

I understand the drinking part.
But is this really the most pressing of issues with the team?

Dak is the same as he was in college.
Whoever scouted him and recommended him should be fired along with Garrett.
Unless Dak is allowed to stand quietly behind a wall of blockers he chokes and pulls the team down with him.

I think that is overstating the problem... Dak has developed a lot since college and even from last year to this year.

He just has some ingrained bad habits and tendencies that show up under pressure and duress.

You don’t put up the numbers he is putting up this year if you are a “bad” QB. He is a solid QB. Top 10 even. Is he elite? No. Not yet.

But he has made progress and I believe he has not reached his ceiling yet.

Jason Garrett and a lot of this coaching staff however? They have reached their ceiling and are what they are at this point

For the sake of Dak’s development, we need a new offensive system for him and an entire overhaul on defense and special teams lol

With the way things are hopefully Jerry will loosen the reigns with the new coach and allow him to choose his own coaching staff.

Kitna hasn't done any worse any the rest of the coaching staff we just need to be rid of the black cloud Garrett has covering this team. If the new coach wants to consider him for his staff then that's his decision but not forced on him.

In Dak’s defense— he has played 3 very good defenses in a row. If he wants to be paid elite money he needs to show up more against better competition and that is on him

The more concerning thing to me are the inexplicable consistent slow starts and entire halfs where the offense just self-destructs. Sure- they end up beating teams like Miami and NYG— but it’s not like they played extremely well.

This is just an observation— but I find it interesting that the past two weeks the first drives have looked awesome. You can tell they focused on starting strong— but then it’s like they have no gameplan or Plan B to counter how teams play them.

Which brings us back to Kellen and ultimately Jason and how they call the game and their overarching offensive philosophies and tendencies

Disappointing year
Seems like after the first drive the other team adjusts and we dont have the ability to counter in game . We are poorly coached and its at its worst on game day . Those opening drives show we have the talent to score just not the coaching to adjust and stay ahead of better coached teams along with overcoming our horrific Defense and STs

I agree that Dak has improved year over year as a passer which is why I feel they should franchise him and see what the new coaching regime can do but no way should he be paid anywhere close to what he’s asking for. No way.

The offense has been inconsistent to downright terrible so please stop trying to deflect blame from one side of the ball to the other. All three phases have been trash which is why the team has a losing record and the entire coaching staff is about to be purged.

Acknowledging the facts that the Cowboys are dead last in multiple special teams categories and lower half of the NFL in many defensive ones isn't deflecting from anything. Suggesting the offense has been equally putrid is deflecting, or maybe it's just laziness.

Get on YouTube and watch his game film.
He took very deep drops from the shotgun and ran mostly.
But EVERY time he was pressured he became erratic and inaccurate.
I agree he does well when the team is playing well around him. But he is the first one to choke when things turn bad.
I think he's a great athlete. But, he's not a franchise quarterback.

I don’t care what the offense does in the fourth quarter after the game is already lost because they sucked for the first 45 minutes.

Special teams are embarrassing, the defense is bad and the offense is trash until they fall behind three scores and the opposing defense lays off.

Screw ‘em. No one on this team gets any sympathy from me.

Dak’s mechanics fall apart when he has no time and is playing from behind. He gets happy feet, makes bad reads, forces throws— all the things he has been told not to do.

None of that is on Kitna. Dak has to maintain discipline and try not to do too much.

Dak and this team are only able to win under very specific conditions and criteria.[/QUOTE and this entire coaching staff needs to be let go so that this team can win regardless
Is Kitna responsible for our defense and special teams???
This here is the real question...talking about the lack of "complimentary football"...look no further than these units.

As a critic of Dak for 4 years now let me say this. At the years start Dak looked way more decisive and was on pace to knockout his TD completions like a real good QB. At the time yup I praised Kitna, hoping we could continue that trend, but Dak is what he is and his numbers are pretty constant each year he throws about 445 passes he gets 23 TD's and 10 Int's and he just passed that mark this year. Unfortunately kitna couldn't really fix Dak, atleast not in 1 off season, maybe 3-5.
