Why isn't he getting more consideration? The coaching job he's done at Baylor is one of the best I've seen in recent memory. He also turned around the dormant Temple program and started putting players in the league.

I'm concerned the Giants are going to try to hire him since he's a native New Yorker and ex-Giants assistant but I hope Jerry gives him a look. Unlike Meyer this guy is winning without elite recruits.

the jets were fools for not going after him harder, he is a fantastic football coach and in the nfl without dealing with recruiting he would thrive!
Seriously, we need to pray the Giants don't get him. I guarantee you they will lap us within 2 years.

Very good choice. Not flashy but boy has he been successful. Made Temple relevant and completely turned around Baylor. Those not in the know would be upset but he is a great choice.

I will continue to think it has to be a big, big name. The next coach needs to come in and completely change the culture. Put fear into the players. Zeke and Mr Swipe need someone to crush their arrogance.

Best coach in the Big 12. Riley may be the offensive mastermind but as an overall head coach and program builder, Rhule is better. He reminds me of a modern day Jimmy

He has had coaching experience on offense, defense, and ST

if they go the college route, this is the route to go.

I like some of things I’ve heard about Rhule regarding football culture and toughness. Also, talent wise Baylor and Temple would not be considered at the top of the heap there, but Rhule has won. Like Bum Phillips used to say “he can take his’n and beat your’n and take your’n and beat his’n”

Look at the competition in the Big 12 vs. the Big 10. Rhule may be a very college coach for his program, and not taking anything away from that.

But still give me Meyer, his longer term proven track record stands out more.

He might be you never know what's going on Jerry's mind he said he's going to cast a wide net I'm sure he is on Jerry's radar the whole Urban Meyer thing may just be a smoke screen to hide the real Coach?

Look at the difference in talent level Meyer benefited from. Meyer's successor hasn't missed a beat b/c of that talent advantage.

I would be happy with Meyer but Rhule might be the wiser choice. His team is smart, physical, and they look the part. For him to do this a couple of years after NCAA sanctions in one of the ugliest towns in Texas is so impressive.

Jazz, I'm just telling you if the Giants get him we are in trouble.

He would be the low key right hire. Even though casuals wouldn't be impressed with the hire, real football people would appreciate him. I've watched Baylor over the years, this is the most physical Baylor team I've ever seen. He's also personable with his players which is something I want from the next coach.

Rhule is in a great position right now, Baylor loves him...Great College Coach....Rhule will not transition well to the monster Jerry Jones calls the Cowboys. Rhule belongs in College and belongs at Baylor

By the way, Lincoln Riley SUCKS no way is he ready for the NFL Its Urban Meyers or keep Jason Garrett IMO

He should be a candidate. Watching this game and Riley instantly attacks Baylor injury for a TD. We fail many times to take advantage of injuries.

He doesn't have the reputation and rings to come into Jerry world and command Jerry's respect. He'll turn into another coaching project with lots of "help" from Jerry. We need a coach that Jerry can respect enough to get out of his way.
