Do the Cowboys even do tackling drills in practice?

But what about that Seahawk commercial where they talk about tackling the Seahawk way? Head to the side, wrap up and twist?

The Hawk tackle is terrible in the open field. it's designed to keep your head out of the tackle. old school tackling has you get your head across the body to the ball side . the Hawk tackle is also dangerous.

I'd say the DT's vulnerability of being insufficient run pluggers has taken a big toll upon our LBs. LVE's eventual injury is a perfect example of that problem. Continuously being forced to make up for the lack of run stoppage by our DTs guarantees a destructive toll on any LB around. It's certainly not doing Jalon Smith and Sean Lee any favors, either. This defense needs to put a priority on DT in the next draft. It's also high time for Marinelli to retire, otherwise, the DT issues can be expected to continue with yet another lightweight interior DL and the linebacker injuries to follow. It's persisted far too long, already.

Well I will say this, Trubisky is a big guy, not easy to bring down once he gets rolling in open field.
The guy montgomery is a handfull too, so these guys can break arm tackles and once they get going it gets harder.

The problem is letting them get past the DLine.

WOW talk about a sad excuse! The Cowboys are the worst tackling team in the league and I dont give a damn who is running the ball!

NOBODY does anymore. In accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement, the NFL has LESS full pad practice than HS or even little league football.

You're right but they do have padded once a week and that should be their focus because this is freakin embarrassing!

We miss LVE greatly. He wasn’t playing great this year but he was still good. You can see a huge difference without him. I’m concerned because the cowboys aren’t really saying what the injury problem is.

The Cowboys need to do 2 drills to be much better at tackling.......
1. Mirror drill the mother of all tackling drills and 2. Middle drill, line these wet noodles up against each other and let's see what happens. However, without these drills you'll get more of the same the rest of the year and I guarantee it!
Live tackling is not allowed in NFL practices anymore...

They have more than 1 padded practice but tackling is not allowed with or without pads.

Nope! Not at this point in the season. All that is done in camp, or it's supposed to be done. Garrett runs a worse camp cupcake than Wade did!
