I really thought Jerry would fire Jason Friday

Is this a real post?

Because if that’s his thinking he’s a bigger idiot than I ever imagined.
Why? Just because a whining, crying fan base wants Garrett fired for losing three fairly difficult games doesn’t mean it makes sense.
Garrett’s overall ineptitude over the last decade was already addressed by Jerry when he wasn’t given a new contract. In three weeks, he’s a goner. Sorry if Jerry doesn’t think letting either a guy with 0 NFL experience as a coach or “0-16” Rod is the best option for that last three games.

And I think he knows he should have. He has to know that the end is here and the longer he puts it off, the worse it will get.
I think it's likely that the Cowboys will not win another game this year if Garrett is not removed. His situation has become a distraction and the Cowboys lose focus too quickly in games. It's burnout.
The Eagles are in bad shape, but they will likely rally.
The Commanders are playing better under Callahan.
And the Rams are next.
If he does, it will be after the season, and will be a mutual parting of the ways

Or maybe he thinks losing 3 games in a row, to teams with better records at that, while disappointing isn’t exactly a fireable offense.

Under normal circumstances I would agree. But if the team quit on the coach, it is a reason to be fired, just like in 2010. It doesn't look like the Cowboys are playing all out. I've been watching this team since forever and I have only noticed this on two other occasions, 2010, and to some small extent, the last few games of the 1983 season. I'm talking lackluster effort, not bad play or a crap team, a team that's cashed in their chips. It's the way the Cowboys are losing, not who they are losing to. Something is wrong with this team right now. I didn't even see this in the 2015 season where we lost 12 games. If this continues, we won't even beat the Commanders in week 17.

Maybe Jerry sees something I don't. I don't know that Garrett can change this course. My guess is that he can't.

The wheels have already come off.
It's hard to get worse than that.
But if you want to clean house, then why give the keys to anyone on the staff right now. Wait a few games and you won't have to listen to any conversations about how Richard should be coach for instance.

Quitting on the coach is such a nebulous term. I don’t think anyone knows what it means, and is usually thrown out there when a bad team is getting beaten by a better one. And if they are quitting they sure have a funny way of showing it, because I was pleading with Dak at the end to please just throw the ball in the dirt instead of trying to futilely come back. I needed to get to bed.

I don't mean everyone is quitting. I don't blame Dak for any of this anymore than I would blame Romo for that start in 2010. But there is something wrong with this team that is not just talent related. I can't come up with other examples because I only closely follow the Cowboys. So yeah, I can point to 2010 and the last few games of 1983 for whatever reason. But I can clearly see that the team checks out at some point. Maybe quitting on the coach is a bad term. But the Cowboys are definitely playing at a very low intensity level. They're not playing all out.

Three games left. Need to win two to win the division ... he’s here until we are done

Do you think this D will win 2 more games , skins are playing better than us. Both Rams and Philly have a chance still.

Some people are trying to spin this as Jerry having some master plan here where he is letting Garrett carry out the year while they negotiate behind the scenes with other coaches.

That's not what is happening. Jerry can't quit Jason. He just can't. He still thinks given the crappy state of the NFC East that Jason will somehow spit out a win against Philly in two weeks, salvage the division and maybe go on a run. That's what he hopes. He's too emotionally invested in Garrett and that has cost the Cowboys a decade of Cowboys football.

Oh, sure, maybe they talked to Meyer but I suspect that was under the pretenses of we might need a coach. I still think Jerry is hoping that gets to hold a press conference in January saying because Jason made the NFC Champ game, he's shown the progress he needed to and we signed him to a new 5 year extension.

Well, perhaps fighting is too strong a term.

They seem to be tussling for a playoff spot.. no that's not right, they are wrestling.. no that's not correct either.

Hmm.. they appear to be gesticulating in a manner that would suggest that the playoffs might be something they could possibly be interested in. Yes that's it.

That's gold, love it.

Jerry hasn't fired him because he wants any little thing, anything thing to extend GARRET. He was supposed to announce something this past Friday, but nothing came out of it..idk

Now you know what the rests of us already knew about your Friday prediction... you were/are wrong. This latest post of yours is just you shoving your foot farther in your mouth. You should stop making predictions. Just because you are eventually going to be right doesn't mean you haven't been full of crap the rest of the time.

Jason will be here until the end of the year when his contract is up. Jerry just won’t fire him. He’s going to let Jason just go off into the sunset as a mutual parting of ways.
