True......but Andy Reid's teams don't look like this, by any imagination.

Reid's teams have played in CCGs and been to a SB. Garrett's haven't gotten to either.

Still, the best reason to keep Garrett is draft position. All fans would rather draft 15 to 19 than 20 to 32.

This was always a lost year.

The players just arent committed.
Thats false - there were high expectations going into this season. By the way, why do you say the players aren’t committed, and who’s job would you say it is to rally the troops?

What if keeping Jason Garrett is a better idea?

Truth is.. life with Garrett hasnt been too bad. We have had many 8-8+ seasons, have won division numerous times and Garrett is the mastermind behind our current playoff push. A new coach brings so many unknowns.

My opinion is, resign Garrett for 2020 and give Garrett an ultimatum: Win SB or go home..
Our current playoff push? The current “push” seems to be to blow our lead in the division. The Eagles lack of success is keeping the Cowboys in it more than their own actions.

Plus, from what I saw when seeing us play the Bears, I think Garrett staying would lead to a massive mutiny from the players. They're not responding to him.

The confusion it appears is some fans understand consistency is a good thing.

Tom Landry put together 20 straight winning seasons. That is consistency.

Jason Garrett consistently hits one palm with the other. That is consistency.

But they are not the same.

Consistently wins = good.

Consistently clap = monkey with cymbals.

he's getting extended and a new ST coach. 5 years isn't long, I'd hate for him to go somewhere else and succeed.
I wouldn't mind that especially if you went to the Giants and then when we got to play him we would know exactly what he's going to do

What's it going to be then, eh?

Compare Garrett to other longtime coaches such as Andy Reid.

Reid has never won the SB. Why does he get an excuse?
Because he has at least been to one. And multiple conference championships. And a superior winning record. And a collection of former assistants who are now coaches.

Tell me again what Garrett has that compares? Longevity?

and when did JJ do that?

I'm sure behind the scenes, or it's just assumed when you are on the 10th year of your contract.

Regardless, if the only thing that is keeping Garrett from winning the SB this year is the fact that Jerry didn't tell him that it was "do or die", then you need to can his *** immediately anyway.
