Romo’s probably the best in the booth today and has a cushy gig.

don’t know if I see him coaching

Haven’t we been through enough coaches without any or extensive coaching experience?

He was a Baller at the Qb position and Balling in the Boof, he has no coaching experience and I don’t know why he or Aikmann keep getting dredged up. Who’s next? Staubach?

Romo is never giving up his lifestyle. He gets to call games, and be the best at it, while also enjoying his small mountain of cash and golf any time he wants. He's ABSOLUTELY not coaching this circus, if he ever decided to give it a shot.

Being a good player does not automatically qualify you to be a competent HC. There is more to being a HC that the ability to claim that you once played the game.

Ben and Skin mentioned on their podcast that Romo doesn't want to spend hours on end at the facility so he'll most likely never be a coach. They said Witten is wired different and that being Cowboys coach is actually his dream job.

This! Why would he leave his gushy job?

tony is more a jokester than a disciplinarian. it showed throughout his career in dallas. he talked how his mom woudl still love him following a particularly devasting loss some years ago. similar to maher's pillow talk comment. meyer has a successful track record as a head coach, albeit in college. tony has nothing in this regard. leave him in the booth where he ranks as the best.

Romo would make a great coach but why leave that cushy job he’s got? The dude is smart, talented and probably knows how to navigate the Jones family. But Romo should stay in the booth. I think Meyer would be a great fit for this team and it’s core players.

What the hell did Tony Romo ever win?
That’s irrelevant. What the hell did Belichick win as an NFL player? He didn’t even become one.

the argument against Romo is lack of coaching experience, and my ET is he wouldn’t be interested anyway.

I would love it!

but realistically he is getting 10 million a year at this point for broadcasting games?

you would have to give him 13 million a year to coach...
Yeah let’s give $13 million to someone to be head coach when he has never coached!!

Tony Romo should be a strong candidate H.C. with his knowledge and experience in the pros. I would take him over Urban Myers 24/7.

UMM No but a OC/ASSt HC for sure no way im trusting an ex player to become an instant HC with no actual coaching experience.. you have to earn that
