Say the Cowboy manage to win the division and host the first playoff game....short of their opponents plane crashing on the way to Dallas, I don't see the Cowboys being able to win.... therefore, Garrett is gone.

Amazing reporting of something that everyone and their mother has known for some time now.

Nor do I think in this day and age, with the proliferation of the passing game, more RPO, more athletic QBs, and QBs getting the ball out faster than in the past is the answer to get slower and less athletic upfront. Just because we don’t have the talent up front doesn’t mean athletic pass rushers with quickness is wrong philosophically... just means we didn’t acquire the talent to do it.

I never said yelling and screaming and fat, slow guys is going to work for this group. I'm stating the obvious........its NOT working. Garrets style and Marinelli's idea of what a DT should do aren't working. So why not try something else?

Imo, we need an offensive hc and a complete redo of the defensive coaches. All the defensive coaches.

Mehh, the current staff is the reason we have a losing record. The playoffs are a brand new season and this (undisciplined, unmotivated) team (with horrible special teams) has a lot of talent and could conceivably do something in the playoffs. Highly unlikely but it could still happen.

I just want us to finish the season with the second worse embarrassment, the worst would be if a team loses to us after we end up being the fifth team to ever make the playoffs with a losing record.

I would stop banking on Philthy winning the East, they are a bigger mess than Dallas. I’m fairly certain Eli and the Giants spank them tomorrow night.

I have this unlikely dream. It’s not going to happen, but it goes something like this:

1. Cowboys get blown out again on Sunday and the team outright quits on their coach. Something so bad that Jerry can’t take the optics, 41-3 bad.

2. On Monday morning, Jerry announces that Garrett has resigned and someone (Jon Kitna, Kellen Moore, etc) is promoted to head coach.

3. The change lights a fire and the offensive handcuffs are lifted; Cowboys come to play against the Eagles and Commanders and win both games going away, winning the NFC East

4. Cowboys get the Seahawks in the playoffs for the second straight year and once again defeat them after the Seahawks beat their heads against the wall with a conservative game plan. 24-18.

5. Cowboys go on the road to renew their rivalry against the 49ers. It’s a nasty windy, rainy day and Zeke is unstoppable on the ground. He scores 3 touchdowns and Garroppolo fumbles the ball twice, once returned for a TD, and the Cowboys upset the Whiners and head to the NFCCG.

So there you go.

You are correct....if the Eagles beat the Giants tomorrow and the Skins next week, and we lose to Rams, then Philly beats us and clinches East.
