This is funny, but true. We'll see no new defensive schemes, no new 3rd down stunts, no new plays, no deception....just line up, beat your man, and win all the match ups - every down, every play - and then VICTORY. "If these guys only did their job,we'd win...we put them in perfect position to make plays, and we taught them how, they just refuse to listen. A bunch of hardheaded players."

Some of them ARE hardheaded though, because the DEs still crash too hard on the run, making the bootleg pass wayyyy too easy. And Awuzie never looks back for the ball, actually most of the secondary doesn't. They just play their man, and hope when the ball arrives to the receiver's hands, they can knock it out. And we see how often that happens.

Get new defensive coaches, and any changes they want to make to bring in people to fit their schemes, I will support. NO ONE on this defense is a "must keep", not a one of them.

One thing that has been killing me is DLaw. I don't know how many times he's extended the other team's drive by being offsides on a big third down. He did it twice last week, but it seems like he's done it about 5 other times this season in key situations. That is hardheaded!

Their DLine against Dak and our OLine? Our offensive line has not been very good this year

Let alone having to come out during key drives to "catch his breath". Unacceptable.

And, yes, he can make boneheaded plays too.

Having said that, without his presence on passing plays, this team has little chance at a good 4-man rush so, I guess we actually need him....which ain't sayin' much.

So sad. We need him but he screws it up all the time. The team is just not very smart.

Umm that's how they are being coached to do it....imo that's why Lewis is persona non grata because he see's that's idiotic

Lewis sees that this is idiotic? Lewis who? I'm missing the point you're trying to make.

I think he's saying the Jourdan Lewis doesn't agree with the technique being coached, which is to play the hands instead of the ball. That's probably why Lewis was submerged on the bench for so long.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, OK, I didn't know that. Interesting.

Such a shame if they're truly being taught to simply knock the ball out as it arrives to the receiver's hands, because this is very hard to do without face guarding and getting a penalty.

That was a frustration throw, but there wasn't enough time left anyway.
