It will take an injury to another LBs to get Gifford in there. Right now he is a special teams player.

Well, it’s about time for Lee to get hurt. So I’d say we see him this week.

Coaches like to lean on guys they viewed as better players even if they aren't performing well now. Our starting 3 guys have shown they can play in this league so barring injury they get more chances to do it again. Im a fan of getting our backups reps in the right spot to show what they can do.

They won't play cool hand Luke unless injuries get them that thin.

he's already missed a substantial amount of time in recovery and add that hes already greatly inexperienced and this is a coaching staff that likes to lean towards veteran experience over rookieness.
He'll be game active per depth availability and
special teams but I don't anything more unless there's a dire injury elsewhere.

It's not Lee they should bench, it's Jaylon.

Yea, and well, he's not getting benched unless he gets injured.

He's Jerry's risky pick that "paid off". No way Jerry will allow that.

And for the most part I agree with that. LVE stepped in for an injured Lee and responded with an All-Pro year. Smith last year looked like his leg injury was almost over with and he could dish out hard hits.

But some games like Chicago you could tell both Lee and Smith just weren't getting it done. Bench one for a series or two to light a fire under their *** for one and show the team bad play won't be accepted.

The problem with Jaylon isn't his legs, it's that he has no feel for anything.

Lee is struggling to tackle b/c he's old, but he's at least in the right spot. Jaylon is just...woof. He played one of the worst games I've ever seen from a LB against Chicago.
