A HC oversees the entire team.
He has to have his eyes in all areas of his team. He delegates roles and duties among his top assistants and entrusts them to carry it out to best of their abilities.
But if their area continues to become so problematic that it threatens to place this team in losing states, then that's when that HC has to place his input and authority to act
and address accordingly.
- Saint's Sean Payton's attention is geared towards his offense, because he can entrust his DC Dennis Allen, who for most part, most times D" unit comes thru for them, but prior to Allen, he's
had to address DC after DC until he finally gets it right.
- if Vikes HC Mike Zimmer sees that his pass happy OC refuses to run the ball, then Zimmer the HC has to act accordingly to replace that problematic coach that threatens his team.
- if Scott Linehan's mediocre and predictable stone age offensive play calling and design seems a big hinderance to this team, then Garrett needs to act accordingly to make
immediate improvement.
- If we continue to see a defense that is knocked around, bowled over and out-physical by every team we face game after game, year after year, and whose personnel preference has
hindered this team's progress, it's time to make a departure and upgrade from that coach, instead of feeling the need to keep patting and praising that old school DL coach.
Marinelli should have been long forced to retire right after the 2018 playoff loss instead of being allowed to return yet another season.
