Kai Forbath is trash

But you gotta let go of Maher

He's sporadic. He's had three seasons where he made 88.9 percent of his FG attempts or better and has only been below 80 percent one season out of nine. (He did have a 50 percent season, but only attempted two FGs.)

He can also be sporadic on extra points, although he's usually been 96 percent or above on them.

I'm not much more confident about him than Maher, but his career numbers are a clear step up.

I feel bad for Brett. Never easy to lose your job. I cannot even imagine the stress of kicking in the NFL. I think if he has a chance in Mile High he could make a 70 yard FG. That would be fun to see.

I never understood how he's so much better the longer the kick is.

Bailey kicking at 90% again lol

He was actually worse than Maher last season, so I can't exactly blame Dallas for moving on. I can blame them for settling for Maher this offseason after he made only 80 percent of his attempts in 2018.

It's almost like they said to themselves that at least he was better than Bailey (75 percent last year) and he can hit the long-distance attempts. We wouldn't care about Bailey getting back to hitting 90 percent of his if Dallas had just tried to actually fix the position.

I think it was a matter of money. They thought they could skimp on the kicker and got burned. I would have kept Bailey. So many wanted him gone.
So typical of the drunken Arkansas plunger boys, skimping on one of the most important spotlight positions on the team, and overpaying one of the least important.

Doesn’t matter that Bailey had a bad year...kickers have slumps and sometimes you have to let them play through them especially if they’ve proven to be one of the best for years before that.

Bailey has been, is and will always be a better kicker than Brett Maher.

They downgraded because they were cheap.

Don't worry! He'll go to another NFL team and have a HOF career!! Our "scrubs" always do better once they clear the drama zone of The Star.

They downgraded because they were cheap.

Bailey went from being a 93 percent kicker in 2015 to an 84 percent kicker in 2016 and a 75 percent kicker in 2017. He looked to be on the decline and virtually finished. Even in 2018 with Minnesota, he only made 75 percent of his field goals.

I agree that money was a factor, but he was also bad. He was slipping progressively on both his FG and extra point kicking.

Why wait till today to fire him? Don't you think Forbath should have a full week of practice...... watch something happen with a FG this week against the Rams, a block or something

It was needed but Forbath was literally the Pats 4th option at kicker and they just waived him to keep Nick Folk.

It ain’t gonna be better.
