It is still very possible even if Eli punks us. We’re 1 game behind you if we lose today. So if you lose out, then we get the division, regardless of what we do
You know, just reading your post--is kind of sad.

I mean--I assume you've been an Eagle fan your whole life just like most of us on this Cowboys forum were raised on the Cowboys.
I'm going back to the late 80's/early 90's time period as reference for this post.

Between Super Bowls XXI and XXX (10 Super Bowls) the champion came out of the NFC East 7 times in those 10 years. 2 for Washington, 2 for the Giants, 3 for the Cowboys. And I'm not saying that to salt you and your Eagles either--even though they did not win a title in those 10 years Philly had some dang good football teams. Scary, nasty defenses.

Here's my point--look at what the NFC east was then and what it has become. It's frankly pathetic. It went from being arguably the toughest, nastiest division in the history of professional football with 4 really good football teams fighting it out every year, to what we have today. Two shockingly bad football teams inhabiting the cellar, and two marginally bad football teams slugging it out to see who craps the bed the least heading down the stretch and backs into the playoffs by default.

Times have changed. There was a time when we were younger that the NFC East was the standard bearer. Now it's the punchline to a joke.
Kind of sad, in a way.

What if keeping Jason Garrett is a better idea?

Truth is.. life with Garrett hasnt been too bad. We have had many 8-8+ seasons, have won division numerous times and Garrett is the mastermind behind our current playoff push. A new coach brings so many unknowns.

My opinion is, resign Garrett for 2020 and give Garrett an ultimatum: Win SB or go home..

It may take firing Garrett to get rid of Dak, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good,,, or maybe the good with the good.

In 10 years..................context my friend, learn it.;)

I rember when after 9 years that was said of Landry ... excep
This game is built on intimidation. When was the last time this franchise had a coach that scared the shard out of the players on a daily basis?

Hint::

"The asthma field is over there."

Now, what was the results of that head coach?

born scared huh?

as for that coach ... he wasn't scared to get fired

Several problems with your response.

First off Jimmy walked in to quit. The Jerry fired jimmy myth has been outed as false by several articles and books. Fact is Jerry tried to get him to stay one more season.

Did you ever play organized football? If so, how many times did your team and the coaching staff sit around the camp fire singing Kumbaya? How many suicides did you do in PT? How many wind sprints as the coaches were screaming to hurry up?

Ever see a coach grab a player's face mask and chew his arse?

Your born scared comment indicates to me you have no answer.

There is and should not be any argument to keep Garrett. Please don’t ever start another thread saying so.

Compare Garrett to other longtime coaches such as Andy Reid.

Reid has never won the SB. Why does he get an excuse?

Reid coached the Eagles to 5 NFC Championship games, 1 Super Bowl and one AFC championship game with the Chiefs. 12-14 playoff record.

Garrett has not reached a NFC Championship game. Postseason record: 2-3

That is why sports media peop!e excuse Reid.

Oh, and in almost the entirety of the second half, I was chanting Fire Garrett and had a lot of people, including Bears fans, joining in with it. So that was fun lol. Actually, we started playing a bit better when i was chanting that lol.
Well it was garbage time already, they knew we had no chance

See, my little Eagle friend, the problem is that your trash team is not above .500 and neither are the Skins, thus there is a good chance Garrett beats both your arses. See, Garretts problem is he loses to every team with a pulse, but typically beats the sewer rats of the league, like your Eagles, the Lions, the Dolphins, ect….

That is what this board is scared of, that the Eagles suck so bad that even Garrett can beat them with his 1995 Teco Bowl playbook:laugh:

Landry played in the NFL Championship Game against the Packers in both his 7th and 8th seasons, that would be the equivalent of back to back SBs today.

Garrett has 2 Wildcard wins after a decade on the job, only thing he knows about SBs is watching them from his couch.

So dont ever disrespect Landry like that again comparing him to this clapping monkey that cant win jack.

Except that's exactly how to handle a large percentage of players...because that's how they've always been treated and don't know any other way. Once they're in a self-motivate environment, they do what we've seen here time and again.. Party time and slack off

I disagree - like Wade Phillips once said "don't handle players, coach them"

True, but still fun...... I miss MFF already. It ended last night and I had to travel home. Chicago was fun.

many don't understand the difference between fear and respect

I said Jimmy was not scared of getting fired - try to pay attention, you may learn something

"Did you ever play organized football?"
yes

"If so, how many times did your team and the coaching staff sit around the camp fire singing Kumbaya?"
every bonfire

"How many suicides did you do in PT?"
we did that sort of thing before and or after practice, as matter of personal pride
coaches had nothing to do with it - it is always on the players, tradition

"Ever see a coach grab a player's face mask and chew his arse?"
quite often on the opposing, i.e. losing, sidelines - we were pretty good

by the way, I was raised and coached to fear only the Creator
many can't wrap their mind around that
in that light a few questions for you

did your coaches every say "if you're scared go home"?

ever catch a punt in full stride not caring what's in front of you?
a fair catch was against team rules

ever take on a pulling OG with 80lbs on you?

do the words reckless abandon have meaning for you?

any other cowardly comments?
