I"m sure this place will be in an uproar when Forbath misses his 1st FG attempt! I'm hoping for the best, but not expecting much improvement in this area.

Is Monday the players off day?

Isn’t that their day to do stuff with their families?

My only concern here is that Maher was not playing any worse than anybody else on the team. They are all sucking. Why choose to release him and keep other scrubs?

Forbath’s resume is not stellar. Nick Rose is statistisally better.

I was tired of the missed field goals too, but his play was symtomatic of the whole team. I think he will excell in a new environment

Maher was someone's pet cat or they would have had competition in training camp , hasn't this guy missed 20 FG last 2 years?

You know, this is like closing the barn door after you let the dam thing stay open for 6 weeks.

The horse left the barn a month ago, ran down by the creek, tried to cross the road but got hit by a semi and is dead now laying in the ditch.

But yeah, I guess it is good you finally got around to closing the barn door.

A lot of celebrating here about Maher being cut and understandable. But I would bet the farm that he latches on to a team with good special teams coaching and they improve that rocket foot field goal kicking into one of the best kickers in the league next season.

Now Garret can keep kicking those 1st quarter FG.

of how inept this coaching staff really is. This guy should have been fired last year. What were they thinking? Just goes to show how out of touch Garrett and Jones really are when it comes to the team and what is needed to win games.

How BAD did Maher have to get for them to actually make a move? REALLY bad is the answer. Its almost like they are just lazy. Sad.

That was the FO feeling themselves, thinking they were the smartest fellas in the room.

right..

All these couch GMs acting like releasing Dan Bailey a couple years ago wasn’t the right move.

2018 Dan Bailey- scheduled to make $3.2Mil and hit only 75% of his FGs for the second year in a row after struggling badly during camp coming off hip injury

2018 Brett Maher- earned spot by kicking better than Bailey all camp. He went on to hit 80% of his FGs, showed off his strong leg during kick offs, and had couple game winners. Not to mention.. cost $480k

The hypocrites will use hindsight to place blame. Dallas made the right move (at that time). Had Dallas kept Bailey in 2018.. they would have been saying Dallas never makes the right moves. Smh. The FO can’t win. Most Cowboys fans are just plain ridiculous.

I’ll see ya in two weeks when Kia Floorbath misses An extra point against the Eagles to lose the game. Careful what you wish for.

Stupid take.

It was always bs, they rushed him back from injury and his accuracy suffered. We had a guy that we relied on for 7 or 8 years and unceremoniously replaced him with a scrub. Then after he was exposed continued to hang on to him for no apparent reason. Piss poor decision making.
