RKG is a myth. I doubt even Garrett has an actual definition for it other than the ever tiring "comes to work every day and works hard to get better" cliche.

He probably heard RKG used by another successful coach and starting using it as his own buzzword for so long, he eventually started applying it to every guy the Cowboys drafted or signed as if it made them special or worthy in some way.

We fans have been trying to define RKG for years, but there has been no pattern to it except the one that includes the Cowboys not winning any Super Bowls or going deep in the playoffs with RKG players.
Well said.
One thing we’ve learned that I hope Jerry will someday learn- we need the “RKC”- Right Kind of Coach. We need a strong leader of men with two c’s: Credibility and Creativity. Neither C is something in Garrett’s tool box.

..you can also add, if you had one good year you're paid Elite money on contract year.

Potential trumps production no matter the red flags.

Athletes are better than football players.

Julian Edelman disagrees and so does Brady. Tristan Hill might be a phenominal physical specimen for his size, but he's no football player. There is a difference and the cowboys would do a lot better factoring in more substance.

This one’s huge. All this “position flex” nonsense and SPARQ ratings leaves us with a bunch of underwear models with no instinct to play the game.

The “Bend but don’t break” philosophy only works when you can generate turnovers.

We don’t have the kind of players that can do that besides Jourdan Lewis and the crazy thing is, he’s only playing out of necessity. He’s literally the only secondary player that is a proper fit for our scheme and our coaches don’t deem him fit to start.

What a mess...

Make sure you have a designated scapegoat for the season. Having more than one is optimal but only one is truly needed.

Adding:
  • Keeping things simple for our players is more important than keeping opponents guessing.
  • Never expect a question to actually be answered without vague hyperbole.
  • If something isn't working we should keep doing it because they'll never expect that.
  • We need to keep running the ball because it wears the other team down. By the 5th qtr they'll barely be able to stand.

As a result of 10 years of Garrett's football philosophy, many Cowboys fans now think that:
  • Our Oline is supposed to pancake defenders on every play.
  • Kick and punt returns in the NFL don't happen anymore.
  • The only way to score a td is to drive 87 yards for it.
  • What's an INT and why do I care?
  • If the defensive lineman doesn't have 20 sacks then he is trash.
  • A scheme is knowing when to throw or run on first down.
  • Execution > coaching

What am I missing?
Both Demarcus Ware and the Son of a Bum have Super Bowl Rings because of Jason Garrett.
