If merely entering the playoffs meant Jerry would then renew JG's contract, then I'd say no, absolutely not. It'd simply give Jerry a free pass to do so.

If the Cowboys entered the playoffs and Jerry promised he wouldn't renew JG's contract unless we win a conference title, I'd say yes, I'll take my chances, realizing that the chances of that happening would be extremely unlikely.

I said No only because I am terrified that Jerry will use it as an excuse to keep JG, while scapegoating Marinelli and Richard.

Time to turn the page on this chapter in Cowboys history.

Making the playoffs and getting booted, at home in the first round is hallow.

Nah, I don't need to see another playoff loss, especially from a wild card team coming into Dallas and handing us our butts. Give the new head coach a better draft pick

If the Cowboys had a chance to get some W's I would vote yes in a heart beat. They don't.

I want Garrett GONE. No excuses or reasons to keep him left on the table. As a bonus, give me the higher draft pick that they earned with these embarrassing loses.

This should poll should really worry Jerry Jones. Just think about it, when asked if you want the Cowboys in the playoffs, for many their favorite sports team they follow, a majority of fans did not say YES right off the top of their head.

56% of fans on this site either said "NO", or had some sort of qualifier involved, mostly "not of expense of Garrett staying".

As for me, I still have a small glimmer of hope that with enough losses Jerry will be publicly embarrassed enough that he will hire a better head coach, not a puppet. Maybe Urban Meyer, maybe Lincoln Riley, somebody like them that are not puppets but really good head coaches. Sure Jerry will still give his media interviews and will still be the face of the franchise, but maybe that can coexist along side a really good head coach. It worked with Jimmy for a while, it worked with Parcells for a while, maybe it can work with Meyer or Riley for a while.

So hell yes I am rooting for not only the Cowboys to lose, but for Philly to win...………anybody thinks that makes me a fake fan, SUCK IT!;)

Thanks for the poll DallasEast, I agree its good to get a sample of what diehard fans think. I mean, anybody on a site like this is not a casual fan, we are all pretty fanatical about this team or else we all would not spend hours and hours here discussing the team.


UPDATE...…...as of 12:36 AM, only 44% of fans have selected "YES"
