......or do they awaken just in time for the one of the greatest comeback stories the NFL season has ever seen and give a sound thrashing to the Rams.......and on to the SB!

Is one superbowl worth another 10 years of the Clapper being on the sideline for you?....not me

Not that I want my team to Lose, but they are rightfully getting killed on GMF. I expect a thorough butt kicking by the Rams this weekend.

Have been a fan since the 60's and this year is the first that I am openly hoping for a great Christmas Present/ New Years gift. That being a new head , defensive, special teams coach. I'll go through 1 and 15 again to get to the point that we are competitive again. Used to be that Thanksgiving on was a time to watch the cowboys prep for the playoffs and a real chance at the SB.

Now its just a grind watching open holes for receivers or RBs, missed FG's, missed tackles, no show of emotion. Stacked boxes etc.

Even Jimmy J's building years felt better than this version of the Cowboys and had no where near the skill levels of players..

Wasn't it a few weeks ago JJ said "JG gives us the only chance to turn this thing around, I truly believe he is the only one that can do that"...Or something to that effect.

This is the same guy that will be picking our next HC. Oh well, hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

Can’t drink all day if you start start in the morning
Actually, that's the only way you can drink ALL DAY, because ALL DAY would, by definition, include the morning.. :)

@Dre11 said that’s not true

losses are only due to bad execution and never coaching

I’m taking his word over Belichick

Meanwhile in Pittsburgh some UPS guy or Insurance salesman by the name of Devlin Hodges has the Steelers in contention at 8-5...

This is after losing a ‘pretty decent’ RB in Leveon Bell, another ‘pretty decent’ WR in Antonio Brown(strong sarcasm)

And then to temporarily lose to injury the RB replacement James Connor, and the WR replacement in JuJu Smith 2 ‘pretty decent’ replacements to the originals mentioned(again strong sarcasm)

Oh yeah, did I mention the QB is the 3rd option after losing a possible HOF starter in Big Ben and the actual drafted backup in Rudolph?

yeah....uhhhhhhhhh(Beavis and ButtHead style),
“Coaching kinda matters.”

PS And yet We got guys on here who will defend the one game injury of starting tackles and a wideout to a winless team is to be expected and that the entire run defense is ALL predicated on another average Weed Head defensive tackle’s ability to stay healthy...

AND they insult you if you disagree...

Gotta love it.

Can ya tell I’m a genuine next man up and injuries are excuses type guy? Lol

This is a great post. I live in this area and I cannot stand the Steelers since SB10, but the way the organization is ran is just inspiring. Here is a team that had every reason to give up, but instead they are getting better. Every player and coach working together to get better.

Their situation would be like the Cowboys losing Dak for the year, his backup sucking, installing the 3rd string QB, Zeke holding out and eventually moving on, Pollard getting hurt. Amari Cooper demanding a trade and moving on, and Gallup getting hurt.

Would we be competing for the playoffs in this situation? LOL, we would most likely be competing for the #1 pick in the draft.

Another butt kicking at home will really embarrass Jerry. It will be great. Won’t last. He will drink it off and forget about it by Monday.

I will believe real change when I see it. It must start with firing this awful coaching staff.
It has to be a complete Smashing...with the Fans booing relentlessly ....He needs to feel ultimate humiliation...but sadly, I think you're correct...by Monday he will spin it. ...we can hope

Thanks bro, I appreciate it. Yeah, I have made several posts in the past where teams have totally overcome injury losses to their most important players. Not just the starting QB.

One belovedly favored guy on here with 10k posts and carte blanche authority to insult is the quickest injury excuse maker and I especially love reading his remarks to truths like these.

I appreciate your response here in filling in all the blanks of the Cowboy personnel comparisons with my post and how things would play out if it happened to this team.

Cheers man!

I have often posted, even the 1989 team was better to watch than this garbage this year. At least one knew the team was going to get better.
The players at least played hard back then as well.
Even the 1988 season, a friend of mine and I were saying, just lose so we can get Aikman, build from there, as we already had Irvin. I wanted them to draft Emmitt so bad in 1990, and once they did, I said they will soon be in the SB.

Now I feel they have the majority of the players, they just need to get the coaching staff and new HC.
I want to get in the playoffs this year as that is always the 1st goal. But if they lose and miss, I will not be upset, as that means a new HC for sure. My fear is if they do make the playoffs, it gives Jerry hopes of keeping Garret. It really is a torn situation.

100 % agree. Jerry should look back and see San Francisco our main adversary in those SB runs has been to Championship games and 1 play away from the SB, and has rebuilt again . We look like we are rebuilt , but have the same deficient D philosophy , and the same coach who can't close the deal.

He's a backup coach, just like he was a backup QB. He's like the guy in class who can describe how to do something, but when actually has to perform it fails the test...

If we lose I hope it's one of those losses that leave no doubt in Jerry or any believers in this staffs mind about how bad our coaches are.
Yup, just like these past 3 games. Hard to imagine it can be any clearer.

Actually Hodges was the #4 option, Rudolph was #3.

They traded their QB2, Dobbs, to Jacksonville when Foles went down. A few days before Ben went down.
