So looking ahead to the 2020 opponents. Seems it could be just as tough. Depends on the layout as well.
We play the NFCW and the AFCN, sam place divisor in the NFCS and NFCN

Home:
Commanders, Giants, Eagles
Cardinal, 49ers
Browns, Steelers
NFCS, right now 1st place Saints, or 2nd place it is a toss up, Buccs currently in 2nd

Away:
Commanders, Giants, Eagles
Seahawks, Rams
Bengals, Ravens
NFCN, current 1st place Packers, 2nd place Vikings, Bears right behind them

So if we win the division, I hope Vikings win theirs.

So really the difference between tougher games for us or the Eagles will be what team finishes 2nd in the NFCS.

The opponents records, if we finish 1st is currently 100 - 107 for a .483%
For 2nd place finish, 95-112 for .459%

Could be 6 or 7 playoff teams we play, again, and right now 7 teams with winning records.
Hey we will go 9-7 then.

AFCN doesn't scare me outside of Baltimore. NFCW tho we will be lucky to come away with a win with this current team.

Next year is different year. Some new players and new staff. If the staff could get these players motivated we would be better this year.

I took a look at this season schedule and knew they would be lucky to get to 8-8.

3 years from now, everyone will be complaining about the NFL screwing the Cowboys because they "always" play the Packers at Lambeau.

But they just finished a 3 year stretch of getting them at home (if they were matched up). Now the next 2 years the same ranked NFCN opponent is away and then they play the whole NFCN division and it's the Packers turn to host the Cowboys.

Hmm, I'd be interested in going to that away game at Cincy next year.

It'd give me an excuse to drive through Kentucky and do the bourbon trail!

We have to play the Ravens, Rams, and Hawks away? Along with the Packers or Vikings possibly? Lol. I hope our new HC can turn things around quickly, or this team will likely not be ready.

This new HC will have to change not only the schemes and playbook, but the culture and attitude of our players in a single offseason. That's asking for a lot.

This year's schedule has not been unusually tough.
Our division alone is a complete dumpster fire. That's 6 relatively easy ones right there compared to some teams
Then Miami, Detroit, NY Jets....come on.

We've had a few tough games but the overall schedule is not anything unusually tough.

Different year. Presumably different coach and some staff. Different atmosphere. Some different players, ie talent. No more RKG BS!

Well part of the “bonus prize” of winning a division at 8-8 is getting two games against division winners that were 4 or 5 games better than you. If they can’t beat the Rams, going 0-2 against those teams this year might end up doing them in.

Who is coaching?

Hypothetically speaking, let's say its your dream coach. Let it be Riley, Urban, Rhule.

No matter who we have as HC IMO, one offseason trying to change the scheme, playcalling, culture, and attitude of the players isn't enough time to raise this team to where we want it to be. You also have to add in the fact that we'll have different players (considering we have like 30+ people that will be FA after this 2019 season), and our current players will have to adjust to a new system. It will be too much.

If Urban were coach, Riley were OC, and Rivera were DC, I'd say we lose against the Ravens, 49ers, Packers/Vikings (whoever wins our division and whoever wins theirs), Steelers, Rams, and Seahawks, Saints (if we end up playing them), and possibly a division game (Commanders are trending up, and Eagles are injury decimated. They may be better next year. I don't know about the Giants, but we do good against division rivals for some reason.)

So, I'm predicting anywhere from 6-8 losses. Once our players adjust, 2021 may be a good year for us.
