I don't know how Jaylon explains this miss. Xavier Woods & Byron Jones have the outside contained forcing the WR right into his path for what should have been an easy boom type tackle.

He jumped like he saw a copperhead on the turf.

Jaylon never touched him because he took the wrong angle considering his only escape was back across the field
I suspect there is lots of video of bad angles floating around on this team
Agreed. I have said it before and I will say it again....we better hear that he has had an injury bothering him all season that will require a procedure this offseason...if not.....extending him will rank high as one of the worst assessments of talent ever for this front office. He repeatedly takes bad angles, jumps out of the way, gets bullied, gives up and is slow to diagnose. Not sure what else is left. And please don't bore me with his tackle numbers....running to the pile after the runner has gained a lot of yards is not impressive.

Missed tackles are a warning sign of a lack of focus and motivation.

This team has quit listening to their coaches and it definitely shows.

On the way to work today was listening to the Fan blast the players and they said we missed 14 tackles against the Bears.. Are y’all paying attention yet??? Nobody misses that many tackles in one game. I’ve seen better acting on Wrastling back in the day..

They whiffed on purpose, the team is quietly tanking on purpose but only losing by just a few points to give the illusion of trying to win. Pay attention or go back and watch the tape you will see some half assed missed tackles.. They are doing just enough on offense for stats and agents to have the ammo they need for negotiating new contracts. Anyways it’s really bad and blatantly obvious if u care to notice..

Welcome to Team Tank....

SS Thompson and CB Lewis were terrible. They might not have come close enough to making the tackles for their misses to even be counted as missed tackles.

a real coach that comes in tells these players thanks for whatever contributions, but you've already auditioned for other teams. Good luck, get out.

Well, I thought about it and I've got to agree. Tackling is something learned in pop warner. These guys have been in the game all their lives. If they aren't making tackles, at the professional level in the NFL, it's got to be intentional. Tackling takes effort and it hurts. If they're not wanting to hurt, then they obviously don't care. We're dealing with an entitlement attitude here.

That actually feels like a low number. Certainly not a surprise after what I've seen all year from this defense. I swear, it feels like during every defensive play there's a defender whiffing on an arm tackle and go flying out of the picture.

He is bad, is how.

This is the same problem he's had his entire time in Dallas - he's just not making splash plays now to hide his deficiencies.

That’s kinda the plan when you’re deliberately Tanking Hoss....

Sadly the Cowboys are NOT deliberately tanking.

I can't root for them to lose but in the long run it would be better if they fall out of playoff contention. Then they can move forward towards getting a new coaching staff.

Lack of effort or lack of talent misses tackles.....I don’t care how tired you are either
This scheme also doesn't help. Playing 10 yards off the ball and having to make wide open field tackles as opposed to playing up on the ball and pressuring is completely different.
