Do you guys really think a new coaching staff is going to fix everything within one offseason?

Listen, if you're going to just quit, give up, have no hope, whatever you want to call it please do us all a favor and go root for some other team. Whining and complaining about everything everyday does nothing but make this a horrible place for those of us that do have hope. And that goes to all the other posters who feel the same way.

The ignore button is right near by if you don’t want to see my posts. All it takes is one click. That goes to all the posters that feel the same way

I don’t know but the more public pressure put on Jerry increases that chance day by day. But, I am certain that a whole new coaching staff(with better schemes) is needed to have a better chance to overcome the meddling Jerry.

One thing is clear......our current staff can’t do that.
Roger that

Yes the All Pros are aging and all nursing injuries. Smith drafted 2011, Frederick 2013 and Martin 2014 all in their second contracts and IMO aren’t the dominating force. Martin might be only 1st team Pro Bowler this year mostly on reputation.

We haven’t dominated any of the better defenses on LOS I can recall this year. It’s become an overhyped group.
many including myself thinking same thing....and its the highest paid O line in NFL...this will have to change pretty soon...i think we only have 2 more years with this group at best....i think our window is close to closing

Fix in 1 year, doubtful. Some things will get better, others worse. Some coaches like Bloom and Keith will be gone and maybe a guy who can coach brought in. Next years defense will look alot different than what we have on the field now. In the end we will probably be 9-7 at best.

Yup. I have said it multiple times. I gave up and have labeled him a troll at this point. Someone who has never played at any level, judging a bunch of guys who would pick him up and put him over their knee if they ever heard this. Now he is agreeing with Shannon Sharpe to prove his point. Anyone who has never been in a locker room of any kind has no right to talk about culture or brotherhood in sports. Thats just me.

a question--has there ever been a brand new coach come in first year and win super bowl?.....honest question...i have no idea
Define brand new?

First one comes to mind is Gruden in Tampa . Which was first year on team not in league.

Don McCafferty (Colts, Super Bowl V) and George Seifert (49ers, XXIV) were rookie head coaches and both won the Super Bowl.

Now you’re Just picking a fight . If I’m such a troll, I still fail to understand why you continue to entertain my “troll posts”. Why not ignore me? There’s literally a button for it. I thought we found a common ground, but I guess not . Whatever.

Also, there you go again attacking my personal life. “Anyone who has never been in a locker room.” Why make such assumptions based off of an internet post? I understand you attacking my opinion, but do not attack who I am and what I’ve done personally. That’s going a bit too far.

Hypothetically speaking, lets say Dallas gets your dream staff (HC, DC, OC, and ST coordinator). Rather it be Riley, Rivera, Rhule, Meyer, etc.

Do you really believe they can change this team within an offseason?
The new HC will have to bring a modern playbook and a new scheme. That is not easy in itself. After that, comes the players....

As we all know, the culture of the Cowboys is a major problem. A new HC may help with this, but it will not solve the problem completely, especially not in one offseason. Think about it. What is one thing our players lack? Leadership. Brotherhood. Wills to win. Compassion for the game. Thinking as a unit/team rather than an individual.

You look at the Ravens and you see a classic football team. A team that has each others backs (brotherhood). Everyone in that locker room gets along. Everyone in that locker room plays for the team rather than themselves. Everyone in that locker room has energy, passion, and most of all, they have fun at the end of the day. Even though all these players chase money, contracts, and likes on social media, they don't put it ahead of football.

Our players do NOT do this. Rather it be because Jason Garrett allows it, or the culture of Jerry Jones, it will not be an easy fix AT ALL. Look at Jaylon Smith or even Zeke this season. Shannon Sharpe made a good point on Undisputed Today when talking about Le'Veon Bell and his stupid bowling situations. He said "Players today don't care about winning. They could care less about winning. They care about social media and likes." That perfectly represents our team.

Not only does the new HC have to create a new playbook, gameplan, and scheme, along with changing the culture and attitudes of our players, they have to adjust to the team themselves. Settling into a new team is very hard, especially if we grab a college HC. On top of that, our players will have to adjust as well. Some players struggle more than others when it comes to change. That will be our team next year.

On top of THAT, we have like 20 or 30+ players to resign or let go of. That likely means we will likely have a lot more new players on our team through the draft, free agency, or trading. This team may look very different from what we see today (hopefully for the better).

New players, new HC, new scheme, new culture, new attitude, new gameplan, etc. 2021 may be our year, but along with our schedule (we play the NFCW (YIKES), the NFCN (Browns may improve, Steelers look good even with injuries, and the Ravens may still be redhot), possibly the Saints if we win our division, Packers or Vikes, and more, 2020 does not look like our season at all.

I would NOT raise my expectations beyond anything we feel right now for 2020 no matter what HC or player we pick up. If you do, you will be disappointed.

who said anything about one offseason?

My god, Garrett got 10 years. LOL

Its a start, then we fill in some holes. Get a couple DTS and a safety ect.

None of these players are as bad as they currently look.

We are spiraling out of control. Player evaluation at this point is very difficult.

no. What I would like to see are the beginnings of culture change, where we go less cupcake and more toughened, hardened football team. An end to the constantly egregious stupid mistakes, an end to the bad time management. give me those things, and I'll be happy

so Fredrick is 6 years in and still under 30. and martin the same. linemen usually last into their mid thirties....

Fredrick is coming off illness and obviously not fully recovered. smith, injured is still better than half the league....Collins is playing great.....

we have become spoiled. most teams envy this OL even in this state....the problem is that the whole scheme is not working, thus linemen blocking scheme is not aligned with offensive scheme, not align with coaching, etc. its a mess across the board.

I don’t think anybody has mentioned that they expect a new coaching staff to fix everything in the first season. I would be surprised if a new staff fixes the major problems in two or three seasons. Some of these problems have taken years to create and it will take years to do away with them.

Those things will make a huge difference. It's certainly a culture issue at this point. Game management is garbage, there's no confidence in tight situations and the team is soft.

Rams went from being a perennial losers with Fischer to a Division winner in one season and then to the SB in 2 seasons with McVay.
