There are more than enough to cite, but I'll quickly review two from 2013.

Green Bay 37
Dallas 36

After forging a 26-3 halftime lead over Matt Flynn and the Packers, Jason Garrett and his staff come up with the brilliant strategy of taking to the air in the second half. What does this mean? Well, let's put it like this: Green Bay emerged from the locker room for the third quarter and proceeded to double (16 to 8, if memory serves) the second-half rushing attempts of the team that led them by 23 points. Our run/pass ratio after the half was something like 8 runs/23 passes (one run was wiped out by penalty; Romo attempted 21 passes and took two sacks). This one still amazes me. Never seen anything like it before or since.

New Orleans 49
Dallas 17

Forget that we failed to hit the 200-yard mark for total offense. Never mind that the Saints more than tripled our yardage output (625 to 193) and nearly doubled our time of possession. If you didn't know those things, you might be surprised to learn we didn't turn it over. Hell, we won the turnover battle 1-0. BUT Dallas was 0-9 on third downs - Saints were 9 of 12. We could not get off the field on defense and wanted no part of it on offense. The worst part, at least for me, was after the Saints scored their final touchdown. Down thirty points with under six minutes to play, we trot out the entire starting offensive unit, Romo included. In the postgame presser, Garrett's response when asked about it, "“They all wanted to play, they want to keep playing." Not that our fragile quarterback was being rag-dolled or anything.

And that was six years ago. If I wasn't familiar with the train wreck that is Cow ownership/management, it might amaze me this guy has held on this long.

I'm still in shock he survived 2011-2013. Then again, I probably shouldn't be because Jerry hates paying coaches not to coach the team. If he was truly all-in on coaching he would have ate the final 2 years of Garrett's contract and went in a different direction. But he had every intention on making him earn every dime of that contract. Unfortunately the 2014 fluke season came and Garrett was here to stay.

The most embarrassing loses all share a common theme - the Cowboys were demonstratively out-coached (hence, the point of the thread). I include in the "out-coached" category being ill-prepared.

Romo had no business playing that game, all drugged up with punctured lung and broken ribs.
Its one thing to go back in to the end of the game vs the 49ers, before the X-rays. But playing those next two games right after was a bit nuts

Sadly Romo didn’t have a choice because he knew clappy the clown couldn’t win games without him.

My emotion after losing a game is not embarrassment.

Angry, sad, maybe.

I am not embarrassed by the performance of this team because I am only a fan. I had no hand in them losing. If it were up to me they would win every game every year, and every superbowl.

And if it were up to me I'd be diddling Blake Lively. Which is about as likely as the Cowboys winning every game.

Probably will be this game this weekend. Garrett may have taken some hard lost but never gotten blown out. This game may change everything.

Garrett sucks, but let’s not forget about coming up short in every big game played since Jimmy Johnson left. I know Switzer won in 1995, but that was with Jimmy’s players. Seems to be the same scenario since Jimmy Johnson left and that’s all Jerry’s doing.

2016 play-off loss to green bay....you don't always get home-field advantage...no excuse for that team to come out....say it with me....flat.

the losses in '17 to atlanta...allowing Dak to get killed and not making any adjustments with Chaz Green getting abused....and the loss at home to seattle that ended our play-off hopes.

this season's loss to the jets.

those are the ones that come immediately to mind...dont wanna get a mind-flu trying to think of others.

Here is a refresher (I bolded the ones that stand out to me):

2011 Jets - Romo fumble on the goalline, block punt TD, then lose on a Nick Folk (just cut) kick.

2011 Lions, Up 24 points in the 3rd Q yet Garrett has Romo slinging the ball and he throws 2 pick sixes to start the second half.

2011 Patriots - Running the ball 3x with 4 minutes left in the game and punting back to Tom freaking Brady who drives down the field for the game winning TD.

2011 Cardinals - Icing our kicker on the GW field goal, misses the second kick.

2011 Giants - JPP blocks game-tying field goal.

2012 Seahawks - Get beaten to a pulp. Lee blindsided, nobody responds.

2012 Ravens - Abysmal clock management at the end forces Bailey to kick 51 yd GW FG, he misses.

2012 Giants - Go down 23-0 at home, Dez finger on backline endzone OOB.

2012 Commanders - Thanksgiving Day Massacre to RG3.

2012 Saints - Lose Wk 16 home game to hapless Saints which would have clinched the division.

2012 Commanders - lose Week17 winner take all on a Romo pick to the flats in the last 2 mins.

2013 Broncos - We score 48 points at home and have a QB who throws for 500yds and 5TDs and still lose.

2013 Lions - Calvin Johnson 329yds and Stafford QB sneak TD at the buzzer.

2013 Saints - Allow 40 first downs to the Saints (NFL record) & 625 total yards (franchise record).

2013 Bears - Team quits because of the cold.

2013 Packers - Matt Flynn coming back from 3 scores back in the 2nd half

2013 Eagles - Lose Week 17 winner takes division game at home.

2014 Eagles - Mark Sanchez Thanksgiving Massacre.

2014 Packers -Dez caught it but we gave up a 8pt lead to one-legged Rodgers.

2015 entire season - Go 1-11 without Romo.

2016 Giants - Terrance Williams inexplicably doesn't go out of bounds on GW drive, time runs out.

2016 Packers - Go down 21-3 in home playoff game, go pass-happy in RZ, lose opportunity at home Super Bowl.

2017 Broncos - Trevor Siemian turns into Dan Marino - 5 tds.

2017 Rams - Up 12 at home, McVay comes out of halftime and toys with Garrett for entire 2nd half.

2017 Packers - Rodgers slices and dices D in under 1 minute GW td drive.

2017 Falcons - Adrian Clayborn - 6 sacks, nuff said.

2017 Seahawks - Spend previous weeks destroying draft positioning only to lose home playoff-elimination game. Dez has crucial drop and fumble.

2018 Commanders - Snap infraction, Maher hits upright on GW field goal.

2018 Colts - Bullied for 4 quarters by Eberflus' defense.

2018 Rams - Give up nearly 300 yds rushing, lose to 2nd year head coach.

2019 Saints - Can't win w/out Brees

2019 Packers - Can't win w/out Davante Adams

2019 Jets - Lose to 0-4 team with a QB returning from mono.

2019 Vikings - Can't win w/out Thielen & Joseph. Choke away GW drive near GL.

2019 Patriots - One missed FG, one blocked punt, delay of game on punting unit, illegal shift on punting unit, three miss handled kickoff.
Does it matter?

Let's just move on and get his replacement.
