CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I have a relative who used to live in Philly area and he’s an e-girls fan. He says that all his fellow philly fans absolutely LOVE Jerry because he’s the best thing to happen to the e-girls. As long as JJ is doing things “his way”, the rest of the league knows they don’t have to worry as much about Dallas being that great.
Yeef! What a reckless legacy for our team!

The bigger issue is he doesn’t care what we want .He isn’t interested in owning a team if he isn’t the Guy.

Remember Jerry admitted he’d of fired a GM with his record.

Jerry is basically saying . This is what I’m going to do. What are you going to do to stop me.
yeah he does not care what we think, but he can be embarrassed by the media, and that is happening now.
people always say he wants credit, and I think he wanted to show jimmy he could build a team himself, and win a SB
with whatever coach he got.
But it has gone on so long, that is kinda meaningless, and all he has is playing with his toy, playing GM which he likes
more than having a winning team.
It is funny, the real jerry emerged briefly when he was cussing at the radio people.

Well of course! We’re ALWAYS on the way down!
Unfortunately, we often are. It can be changed but only if we can find someone who will make better decisions and have a blueprint and that someone is allowed to make decisions.

It is almost as if it is impossible to empower a guy like Will McClay to make quick decisions without running them the owner.

Something other franchises have been doing for decades.

Jerry does very little football stuff as the GM. He has openly declared that he doesn't watch film. Jerry is pretty much like a guy who sits on his couch and watches football as much as his GM qualifications. He doesn't even try to be a good GM.

Dwell on this.

If we all truly care about the team and want to see another SB win, we would need to stop attending games, buying gear, and stop watching the games to really hit Jerry's pocket book.

Nothing will get his attention and cause him to consider letting go of the GM role like declining profits. He doesn't care about fans and our opinions unless we make him care.

Ask yourself, are you willing to do that for a period of time, for the long-term good of the team, until he finally respects our wishes and sells the team.

We don’t watch film either, plus we’re not there and not directly involved. But yeah, Jerry’s a clueless idiot.

This team isn't financed by the hard core fans anymore. The people buying the products are the fringe fans who couldn't tell you Tony Hill from Tony Fritsch. The brand is already entrenched (like Nike) people will continue to buy as long as the team is the national spotlight, win or lose. What other 6-7 team is on the national daily sports talk shows on a daily basis?

I’m not sure he’s completely clueless. I think he’s just protecting his brand and way of doing things.

When you admit you’d of fired yourself. It’s not clueless, it’s just grossly arrogant and selfish.

Years ago you described it perfectly which I still use.

“ Jerry’s runs Cowboys Football thru the eyes of a fan”.

I really have no idea what you're trying to say!! Sorry.

The point is that Jerry is no better as a GM than a guy who sits on his couch and watches football.

I want a different GM, but I disagree that he’s no better than a guy on the couch. If I had millions invested and had been immersed in it for 30 years, there is no doubt in my mind that I was more qualified than the couch guy. How can you not be?

Yea there’s several fans on this site alone who have better eyes for talent and instincts on the weaknesses of this team. And what positions need to be addressed. Not to mention the ability to bring in a better HC and staff.

I think it was you who said 30 years of experience hasn’t made him a better GM.

Yea , Jerry might be more qualified and experienced than a couch fan but not necessarily better.

He does, with this caveat: he knows details the fans don’t, plus, he owns the team.

Also, while he’s unqualified because he’s a fan, aren’t the fans therefore unqualified to judge? Just sayin’...
