Reality is often disappointing...

The odds of us beating the Rams is low. You really think this defense is going to pick of Goff 2 times when we struggle to get interceptions? How many interceptions did we get this year, 5 or 6? Out of 13 games so far?

Yeah, Dak will throw for 400 yards in garbage time after we get blown out.

Your optimism is nice though. It is needed in these forums. Must be nice to feel hopeful.

Not that I expect the Cowboys to win, since they have looked bad the last two games, especially the defense. But this whole post reminds me of the one right before the Eagles game. Nobody, and I mean nobody here thought Dallas would win that game, let alone pound the Eagles.

I completely agree. Maybe we dont win the final game but we will win this game.. Easily.

History would suggest Dallas will come out and surprise. Amazing we say that because this is supposedly a playoff contender playing at home. That said this latest slump feels different. It feels like they are mailing it in.

Can we beat the Rams? Of course. Will we? More than likely not. The Rams are playing are their best football of the season these past 2 weeks and have the look of a team starting to come together nicely heading towards the playoffs, we on the other hand are playing horrible football, the players know their coach is in lame duck status and the team is in disaray. The Rams are a much more hungry team than we are at this point, i hope i am wrong and get pleasantly suprised but what i expect is for us to lose and to lose badly. Rams are a far better team than we are right now

Uh, dude, you see the record, right? You see the records of the rest of the NFC East, right? Now compare those records to ANY other division. Is there any other division that has a team winning the division with a losing record? This entire division is currently a joke... The Cowboys haven't even beat a team with a winning record. In what reality is our team not a joke at the moment? Look at the last several games. IF the Cowboys make the playoffs (and there's a pretty good chance they do given how bad the rest of the division is), they'll be one and done. Barring some divine intervention and their playoff opponent has to concede the game, this team is going to get laughed out of the playoffs. The coaches are doing nearly everything wrong. A significant percentage of the players are playing half-heartedly.. The team has all but given up.

Sorry, man, that's just how it is. The best we can truly hope for is a new coaching staff that can somehow mitigate Jerry's meddling and start to turn things around next season.... That being said, I'm still hoping they'll win out... I just don't rationally see them doing it.

Very possible everytime people think its a lock we are going to lose a game we do what defies complete logic and win giving Garrett another life to torture our living souls

I understand, but if we hit 9-7 and secure the playoffs by our own power are we really a joke?

9-7 Giants won Superbowl. Heck, even 7-9 Seahawks and 7-8-1 Panthers won a game in the tournament.

In that scenario, whether they're a joke or not would be determined by how they play in the playoffs....but 9-7 isn't likely at this point. It's possible, and I hope it happens, but it's not likely. And them playing well in the playoffs? SMH...we're going to be a practice playoff game for whoever our first round opponent is. We're going to be there to sharpen their teeth for their real opponents.

If I'm wrong and the Cowboys win out and then do amazingly well in the playoffs, I will celebrate like mad while happily eating crow!

But sadly, I'm not wrong. Watch. This defense has quit and the offense will keep making dumb mistake after dumb mistake.
