Bingo. The casual fans blame Zeke but people that know football and have been watching every play of every game can easily see our run blocking is horrendous now. This will also be blamed on Jason Garrett & Jerry because everything is their fault...
So the 2nd best run blocking team sucks? Lol, some people will never admit Zeke does anything wrong or isn’t as good as he once was. My god, 2nd best RB line in the league and that’s still not good enough for the Ewok.

Zeke's always been a slow starter. Below are his stats for the first 10 games since he was drafted. Not sure if some fans are watching Zeke or Boston Scott from the Egals making these absurd posts/comments. Zeke's an exceptional player and the Cowboys are lucky to have him.
  • 2016: 223 carries 1,102 yards 9 tds
  • 2017: 242 carries 983 yards 7 tds (only played 10)
  • 2018: 191 carries 953 yards 5 tds
  • 2019: 194 carries 833 yards 7 tds

I really cant wait to see 2016 Zeke back if Urban comes here. Or any coach that knows we shouldnt be running a ZBS. Thats just me though. I know you hate the guy. No need to argue it.

Were we a ZBS in 2016?

Under Pollack. I really dont want to compare Pollack to Columbo lol. And i dont care what we were. I know what I have seen. Zeke has no killer instinct because he has inherited his coaches "well we will get em next time" attitude. Zeke before the NFL was undefeated on the road (team stat I know). But he was a closer. (Pittsburgh 2016). Now he looks like he is timid. Which is far from who he is.

This is a Dallas Cowboys forum. Your contribution here has nothing to do with that. You have made it clear your purpose here is to troll and harass to your hearts content. The mods continue to allow this behavior that is clearly prohibited in the forum rules. @Reality WTH?

Seems like a lot of excuse making for Elliott.

Look, I don't hold him responsible entirely for his struggles. But it's bizarre IMO that some, like yourself, are giving him a total pass on his play this year.

Frankly, the fact so many are trotting out the OL as the reason he's not been good are unwittingly supporting the rationale that we shouldn't have paid too much for a TB.

Thank you thank you thank you, I have been telling people all season that there's nothing wrong with Zeke, that our OLine is the problem. Nate Newton complains about them every week. Our running game goes how the OLINE is playing that game. I agree with that they pass block pretty good, and that may be a product of Kellen Moore and his Boise state passing offense, they did throw the ball a lot when he was at Boise. Zeke is the best in the league.
I know some has posted that JG fired the old Oline coach, JG does not fire or hire anyone that's all JJ

I think the offense of line initially was not happy about the Elliot signing. You could definitely see a difference in their attitude. I don’t like speculation. But something wasn’t right from the beginning

You won’t see him back, not like he was. He’s not suddenly going to be faster or be able to handle more plays.

He may be able to be set up better but even then he’s been run down by LB’ers, can’t make as many people miss in open space, etc.

Wish you were right from a Cowboys fan perspective but I don’t see it happening.

Im not excusing him. However. Moore has changed the scheme for blocking considerably and it shows. The effect Urban will have on Zeke is what i am MOST excited about for next season. If Urban is the HC i mean

I think you are understating the Urban effect. Drastically. Or maybe i am overestimating it. We will see. I hope you are wrong from the fan standpoint.

Come on guys. New England has laid out the blue print for how to win in the NFL today. Clearly you should use of the majority of your cap space on RB.

Ahh, ok. So he needs to not get touched until 5 yards down the field to be effective. If that's true, the contract was worse than we all thought.
Zeke is the most effective back in the league when he's contacted at or behind the LOS. No back racks up big numbers when they aren't able to get to the second level untouched.

Who ever started this "ok boomer" is a dumbarse and you are a bigger dumbarse for assuming it's applicable to me. I'm not a boomer, I'm gen x.

the mere fact you had to point that out to an obvious "this is a funny response" almost validated him. just saying, and i have no knowledge of which is which.
