Its crunch time in the NFL. The Cowboys are struggling to win their division, the only way they can make the playoffs. But look at their injury report, 14 guys are listed with only 4 fully participating in practice. 3 offensive linemen are limited. do you think this effects the way they play on Sundays? Do it effect execution? I guess its not all hands on deck just yet.

The Rams injury report lists 3 guys 2 of whom limited or did not practice.

I'm surprised you even care.

This season is obviously a lost cause.

That is one prophetic and underrated movie.

The early to mid 90’s Cowboys played through injuries. Exhibit A is Emmitt’s epic game with a separated shoulder versus the Giants. Those Cowboys had heart. These Cowboys have already packed it in and the butt hurt boys don’t want to play injured as they no longer care about the outcome.

How do people have such low post numbers while being members for over a decade and then start bringing the heat. What changed? We’re y’all content up until this point?
A lot of us came from the old official Cowboys forum.

What I would give to have Parcells come back with this group.
Clip from an old article...
The best example is the daily injury report.

In three seasons under Campo, the list was loaded with muscle pulls and other aches and pains. Through Parcells' first 12 practices, only three made the list, all for legitimate reasons.

Bryant missed a morning workout because he was in Dallas for surgery to remove bone chips from his left pinky. He practiced that afternoon.

Receiver Randal Williams missed three sessions to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

Defensive end Darrell Wright, an undrafted rookie, broke a bone in his left hand one morning and rode a bike alongside the field that afternoon while wearing a cast.

"When you see guys taking the day off for whatever reason, it makes you think, 'Hey, maybe I can get a day someday.' We don't have that attitude now," linebacker Dexter Coakley said. "That's going to help us become champions."

Thats why Parcells had that policy - no practice - no play.
One of the first things he did was make uncomfortable for guy to be in the trainers room.

Vast difference than the culture Jerry and Jason enable

Compared to the rest of the league, the Cowboys are relatively healthy.

This to me is like the penalties argument. It’s labeled an “excuse” because the obvious proof isn’t instantly obvious to the masses. We don’t have the MOST penalties, but we have the most impactful penalties, because they usually come at the worst possible times—in game changing third down situations. Our injuries aren’t the worst or the most or the most obvious, but they hit the most vital areas in relation to how this team is built. Tyron Smith, Zach Martin, Fredbeard are ALL playing at less than 100%, which is VERY important. Our WR1 has been playing hurt, and we’ve had a lack of consistency at DT and LB.

You're right. That sounds like an "excuse". :)

Or a “reason”! Depends on your agenda!

Claiming your guys at less than 100% is more significant than other teams impact players that are out completely - because it affects your team more - is definitely an excuse . Unless you have an agenda

The early 90s teams didn't have to report injuries through the week.

So we actually have no idea if guys got rest or were limited in practice then. Just your fantasy ideas based on an era where there was little reporting.

I don’t care about reporting injuries I care about the guys who don’t play because they feign injury because they’ve given up on the season. No fantasy bro, real life. This team is soft and I can’t believe any real Cowboys fan would defend them. Lol!

So you make up something about people feigning injuries but appear to not understand the practice report.

There were a ton of injuries reported. Yet only two players did not practice. Even the guys who missed the last game - Pollard, Heath, and Woods - practiced.

Literally there were two guys who didn't practice. LVE who is likely going on IR and Sean Lee.

Are you really suggesting that Sean Lee is feigning injury because he missed practice?

TWO DNPS. That's it. That's actually lower than most weeks. But yeah, feigning injuries.

I just find it interesting that all these old accounts spring up during these times and rack up the likes and yeah people have lives but people drive and look at their phone these days. I don’t think it’s too valid an excuse anymore

I think it specifically affects this offensive line in a negative way. I think they're given too many 'vet days' and limited practices, and I'm willing to bet they're not practicing the physical aspects of the game as much as they should. And that's why, when push comes to shove, they get pushed and shoved.

Yet one more thing I look forward to changing under the new coaching staff.

Good point. I haven’t thought about this before but I think all the praise our OL gets has negatively affected their hunger. There are really good collective OLs built out of mediocre talent. But our OL gets praised individually as being elite while being pretty underwhelming collectively. I wonder how we’d be if we cut bait with all our OL and tried to invest in other positions. Other teams don’t invest nearly what we do and are still successful.

I guess I DO have an agenda. I’m a Cowboy fan. You’re not.

My conscience is clear, though. I don’t hang at blackandgold.com.
