Jesse Holley: Wade Phillip was sabotaged

I know this topic was discussed before.
But On “hangin with the boys” Jesse Holley mentioned it again.

he said he believes Wade was sabotaged by Garrett and that Jesse knows they received a new offensive playbook after Wade was fired and beforehand they were running more vanilla
Plays and schemes.

I just thought it was an interesting nugget from the podcast yesterday.

2010 was a weird year because everything they did good in 2009 offensively was thrown out the window.

The Cowboys threw a lot of passes with Romo. I can see the possibility of a new playbook but i also see the emergence of Dez Bryant after the Romo injury making it look like the offense looked different.

Jesse Holley was on the team. He said that they literally got a brand new playbook after Wade was fired.

Jesse Holley is a clown.

The one play he made in his career, he almost completely screwed it up. This could have easily ended up in a fumble out of the back of the end zone. That was the Romo punctured lung game.

Showing a clip of that play, and talking about his overall skill level, in no way shape or form disproves
Anything he has to say.

I’m not even a big Holley fan. But if he isn’t lying, it’s certainly interesting to know.

Wade could not be a good head coach. And Garrett could also be engaging in behavior that sabotages him.

They are not mutually exclusive.

I’m in no way saying Wade was a good head coach. Every one knew he wasn’t a good head coach before Jerry even hired him.

He can be repeating an urban legend without willfully lying. Jason Hatcher said the same thing and by an amazing coincidence, was one of the guys playing like poo that got Phillips fired for their 1-7 record. So, umm, the problem had to be, umm, the offense and not guys like Jason Hatcher.

You may be right. But it is a bit fishy.

He was also on the team at the time and knows way more about it than anybody on this board.

Sure, but does it really make sense that Jason Wonder Boy Ivy League Guru said "Hey, I want to get promoted so let me do a horrible job as OC. That's a sure ticket to earning the HC spot!"

I should throw out that I personally don’t think Garrett has been anything more than a mediocre coach from the jump. So it’s entirely possible he failed and has failed simply due to his own lack of ability.
