Yeah you don't see most normal franchises having their players do some kind of stupid dance everytime they touch the ball.

Maybe a sack dance but our guys look like they have some choreographed dance ready for anytime they do something.

Imagine swiping and doing a feed me sign when your team is trash and performing terrible.

Mike Fisher said on the radio this morning that this is a team with 53 players that have 53 brands they are trying to push.

This is ultimately Jerry's fault and the culture he has allowed.

I don't turn on Patriot game and see some dance concert all game.

I've said for a long time, until the poor field performance starts affecting the bottom line Jerry will do nothing about it.

Jerry once said that his desire was to make that star one of the most recognizable logos in the world.
He has...
After 25 years of mediocrity and nothing to show... this team is the most valuable sports franchise on the planet.
Think about that for a moment.

The most valuable team on the planet.

Not the Yankees, Patriots, Warriors, Liverpool etc...
Choose your sport and teams who have enjoyed success over the same time span...
none come close.

Cowboys #1 overall

who is to blame?

Jerrah of course, but he is a businessman who knows how to make money.

The players, of course... playing for the star is meaningless... all it means is potential endorsement deals and exposure.
Just look at our useless QB... you get the picture.

No the ultimate problem, is the fans. All of us myself included who are goaded into believing this is the year.
Who buy the merchandise and wear the star proudly and defend this team against our friends, coworkers etc...

We are to blame. Period.

We are to blame. Only when we stop buying merchandise, leave empty seats at AT&T and the Cowboys fall off the top spot on that list.

only then will Jerrah do what it takes to get back there.

Because there’s nothing more important to Jerrah than his ego.
cannot disagree with your assessment..SAS or Stephen A Smith always says its not the cowboy team he hates its the fans.....now i am beginning to see why

Sorry - I def dont have a sub.
Here is some parts..

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The first bus leaves the Dallas Cowboys' hotel at 5:55 a.m. The last one gets back after 9:30 p.m. Curfew is at 11.

On most days, daylight hours are spent inside the Alamodome. Everything is there: meetings, weightlifting, meals and, of course, practices - two a day, every day, for eight straight days.

As the first break in the schedule approached, a day off Sunday, more players began spending time on beds and sofas set aside for siestas. But no one dared let fatigue show on the field, and forget about seeking refuge in the training room.

Welcome to Camp Parcells, a 19-day run that running back Troy Hambrick says "seems like prison." Yet it's welcomed by veterans excited that Bill Parcells is up to his old tricks as he begins rebuilding this fallen franchise.

"This is pretty much the way football should be: No favoritism, no guys having days off, everybody responsible for what they need to be doing every day," quarterback Quincy Carter said. "He's a proven winner, so we believe in everything he's doing around here."

Another part...
There hasn't been a strict coach since Jimmy Johnson left although Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey and Dave Campo tried being tough. They didn't fool the players, though.

That all changed when Parcells arrived.

"You can tell when somebody's putting a lot of lettuce and tomatoes on your sandwich. You don't want that. You just want the meat," receiver Antonio Bryant said. "Coach Parcells is a meat guy. He gives us straight meat."

The best example is the daily injury report.

In three seasons under Campo, the list was loaded with muscle pulls and other aches and pains. Through Parcells' first 12 practices, only three made the list, all for legitimate reasons.

"When you see guys taking the day off for whatever reason, it makes you think, 'Hey, maybe I can get a day someday.' We don't have that attitude now," linebacker Dexter Coakley said. "That's going to help us become champions."

End *

dear fellow fanzone freaks---- heard sport talk show person say the trouble with cowboys is this is no longer

a team...but good players more concerned with their "brand" like Jerry is

we see the "wolf call"..or "feed me"...or Jaylon Smith "swipe"...or #31 "pistol draw"

or Daks passing yardage or the "hot boyz" etc etc etc...and then Maher saying..he liked the way it felt

when he hit the ball so he will sleep good tonight.( but missed easy field goal and then kicked it out of

bounds on kick off ) that was a 10-point turnaround...all, the glitz and glimmer and distractions surrounding

cowboys and being a cowboy takes its toll...to counteract it there must be strong and disciplined leadership

maybe things will get better next year?

None of the player moves or celebrations (brands) you mentioned are any different than on any other team in the NFL. Everyone is grasping at straws, and the one thing that can happen is going to happen....new caches and new schemes. Still, it’s important to recall that this team played much better than expected just last season. We were thrilled with what the offense could be with Cooper, and we were excited about an up and coming defense led by two budding stars at LB and an improving young FS and a pro bowl CB in his first year at the position.

That young and impressive team was expected by all to be even better. We were excited about additions to the DL, our LB depth, and our preseason playmaker at safety. What happened to turn that team into the mess it is this year is crazy, and it’s foolish to think it all lays at the feet of coaching when Moore is the only significant change. Allowing two star players on offense to go all season unsigned has to create an air of uncertainty among teammates. Allowing a star RB to miss all of camp and preseason when you end up paying him a huge contract that could have had him there all along has to be confusing, especially since both situations run so contrary to typical practices with the Cowboys.

Somehow young players overcame what we call terrible coaching last year, but with an extra year of experience and more depth, fell prey to it?

I don’t have the answers, but while we all know we are weak at DL and safety, I have no doubt this team will show marked improvement next season no matter whom Jerry hires. This season has simply been too unusual and horrible to blame on just coaching.

And yet, all that jibberish got them nowhere.
