Believe it or not Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks said something to that effect during an NBA strike. At the time the dude was making around 18 million a year. No one wants to hear that.

And what make it even worse, these guys put their former teammates who legitimately need the insurance it at risk (think Mike Utley). There's another article floating out there which stated if the scam went on for too long, the IRS would have likely pulled the plans tax exempt status.
