Dak doesn’t use his legs enough. Any good OC would utilize that attribute. He just stands back there like a statue.

Michael Vick threw 20 or more TD passes twice in his 15 year career. But he "played in a different era", right? His 20 TD passes in 2006 were 10th in the NFL. His 21 TD passes in 2010 were 16th in the NFL. Amazingly, several other QBs managed to throw more TD passes in that different era.

Lamar Jackson currently leads the NFL with 33 TD passes. He's thrown 5 tonight, the second time he's done that this season. Vick never had a 5 TD pass game in 15 years. Jackson is also younger than LSU's Joe Burrow. He's just getting started.

But don't let any of those facts get in the way of your opinions. A few of you are impervious to such things, digging your heels in a little deeper every time it happens. :muttley:

Who woulda guessed that RG3 would have a chance to get a SB ring before the Cowboys got another one?

Berrios is a great returner. Much better than Austin. IDC about "muh speed", there's being "fast", and there's "being smart and knowing what the right thing to do is." Wish he was on our team.

You can thank Garrett for that. Dak used to run and he was good at it. Garrett tied a ball and chain to his legs.

well, no matter how you slice it... when Jackson walked off the field last year, I legitimately thought that Harbaugh let the team down by not putting Flacco in while the game was still in reach. Jackson was that bad that day. And now he's gonna be the MVP. Might be the biggest MVP shocker since Kurt Warner if you're talking from the beginning of the season.

Top to bottom the Ravens is a better organization and it has shown up over and over on the field.
Dang they are such a good organization. But man it sucks for the fans in Cleveland (a much better city than Baltimore IMO), all the torture.

Mike Vick retired in 2015. Fran Tarkenton played in a different era.

Jackson leads the NFL in TD passes. He's already got 9 more this season than Vick had in his best season. Vick was a career 56% passer playing in the same era as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Ben Roethlisberger.

The two games Jackson lost his defense gave up 33 points and 40 points, clearly his fault.

Otherwise, you nailed it "dude".

Outside of a stretch of games in 2010, Vick was beyond his prime, but even then his stats were way up from his norm in previous years. Aaron Rodgers first started in 2008, Vick started 7 years earlier. What are you even talking about? He was injury prone from 2011 to 2013 with the Eagles and played poorly. Jackson leading the league in TD passes isn't really disputing what I'm saying, dude. Defenses are factoring his legs and what he does in the ground game.

There are 11 QBs right now with a QBR over 100. Tom Brady didn't have a QBR over 90 until his 4th year starting.

But it really doesn't even matter if you think Jackson is a better passer - the argument is that Jackson runs a ton. He ran 151 times this season, while Vick had a high of 123 in a season.

Come back with a better argument.

Wait what?

I’m confused? Are you saying that wasn’t a different era? 2006 was the lowest hit rule to protect QBs. A block below the waist on an eligible WR resulted in a 15 yard penalty instead of 5. 2009 was the illegal hit to a defenseless receiver. That year was also the ‘roll’ into a QBs leg rule that was a further clarification of 2006. In 2014 for example, the NFL started to call the illegal DB contact rule with way more regularity. Most viewed this as a rule initiated because of the DB play by the Seahawks.

Does that mean Lamar isn’t talented? No, but he’s definitely in an easier era..

Some one put a muzzle on Ingram I'm tired of his lame introduction of Lamar. It was funny the first time it got really old after the 20th time

Lamar Jackson leads the NFL in TD passes. Pretty remarkable for an alleged run-first QB.

Jackson's 30 TD passes so far this season are 9 more than Vick had in his best season.

Are you just going brain dead?

Dude, him having the "most TD passes" =/= not run first. Jackson has 347 total passes on the year to 150 total runs. He hasn't thrown more than 25 passes in a game since week 6. He relies heavily on his legs, and you'd struggle to give me a single example of a player that had this style every season that lasted in this league without missing significant time.
