Greater than 50/50 he does something stupid. That’s Jerry’s way. Set your expectations real low so you only have upside...
No matter who he hires, half the board is gonna call it crazy
If it’s UM many will praise it, some bash it
Because no matter who you hire other than someone like Payton or Bellicheck there is no way to know if they can get the job done
Just because you had success in college certainly doesn’t guarantee success in the nfl
Just because you were a good OC or DC doesn’t mean you make a good HC
I don’t see us hiring either of those guys so no matter who it is some will bash it, some will say it’s a homerun
But there is really no way to know

I’m not sure it matters as long as Jerry is still GM.

We’ve had better and more proven HC this era with no more success.

I can’t post it on this forum but everyone should read the column in our local paper on Jerry's intent after all of these years to still be everything Dallas Cowboys.

We have fans who don’t think our local media calls Jerry out then I’d argue you aren’t paying attention.

One would think that after all this time of doing the same things over and over again with the same results, they would have locked Jerry away in a padded room by now.

Seriously, he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror, see what the one constant has been over the past 25 years of mediocrity and make a change. A new GM is needed more than anything else. And IMO, it can't just be handed to Stephen. Make Stephen President of all football operations and Will McCLay should get the nod for GM.

How long did that last? Cost the team a good shot at a championship letting him get away.

Four years, and he took a 5-11 trainwreck with no prospects and set the table for Phillips to get the #1 seed in the NFC. "Letting who get away"? Parcells retired from coaching.

Jerry's motivation for hiring Parcells was not exactly football related as much as selling PSLs.

That's a great conspiracy theory that I have never seen the slightest shred of support for.

You’d need to read columns outside this forum like from publications from local media which aren’t allowed to be linked here.

Parcells was hired for two purposes which were actually tied to one. Resurrecting us from the 5-11 Funk to gain public support for a new stadium.

This was the general consensus from the local media or ”conspiracy theory “you described. Lol

Read today’s paper. It spells it out perfectly. At 77 years old Jerry hasn’t had enough yet. And why there’s no hope he’s stepping away.

He has a 50% chance of doing something monumentally stupid.

That is who he is

We don't know the time nor place we die, but like all of us we'll be on time for our meeting with death.

Jerry's meeting will be sooner than later. That we know. Therefore, he's not going to waste another decade he doesn't have.

He will go after a proven winning SB coach.

The guy has had 7 opportunities to hire a coach, and he's hired Jimmy and Parcells.

The other times have been Switzer, Gailey, Campo, Wade, and Garrett.

Forgive me if I don't think he's going to hire some firebrand who will right the ship.

It'll be some Jeff Fisher type.

I am calling my shot: If he’s replacing Jason then he will take a step back and give the next coach total autonomy.

Yeah, I’m a little crazy...
