LOL this is classic. I think both men tolerated each other for as long as possible. It's too bad they couldn't squeeze one more season out of the relationship. I like Wade but the downgrade from Parcells to Wade is significant. The team still was able to finish 13-3 essentially on autopilot.
Yea, that was a SB team Wade had in 2007....wasted.

Parcells' timing of his retirement screwed us. A year earlier and we could have transitioned to Sean Payton. Who knows what we might have accomplished then?

True. But I don't believe Parcells in ideal circumstances, would've retired considering how close that team was with basically the entire roster returning. I just think the Bill-Jerry relationship had run its course and both wanted out.

Don't expect anything and you won't be disapointed. Thats how you have to look at things when you have the Jones Clown show running things

Jerry's going to do something butt crazy with the next coaching hire like promote Kellen Moore or bring back Switzer.
May I ask you what gives you this impression? A common understanding of the situation here in which Jerry is the laughing stock of the sports world tells us otherwise. Please enlighten me
on some reason why now would be the time for Jerry to promote someone vastly experienced for the head coaching job? Don't try and use the "Jerry needs an easy scapegoat" excuse either,
that is too easy.

See, I don't. Because if it was about that, Parcells could have and would have easily gotten another head coaching job. He was done and never coached again. He was done with the grind and the schedule that job demanded.

That's an interesting story and candidate, thanks for sharing that one.

I admit to not knowing too much about Rhule and will have to do some homework
.

Same here but damn, I'm liking what I'm finding so far (lol).

I'll be perfectly honest. I used to question people's fanhood when I saw comments like this but lately, my tune has changed to where I actually believe in this theory more and more...

No question his age and heath were factors. The Dallas HC job was going to be his last no matter what. He dabbled in the Dolphins front office but that was as much as he wanted to extend himself by then.

I rhule the day jerry hired garrett. but as a rhule, a good interview process and proper vetting of a candidate will bring about a good hire.
