Hemp was a common crop in the US before that but it has no psychoactive properties and was largely produced on farms for harvesting.

Marijuana was on Egyptian hieroglyphs, and has been around for thousands of years and you telling me nobody thought to smoke it until the 1920s in America? Who brought it to America? Interested to here your input, but ain't nothing new under the Sun and just because it wasn't documented by Europeans doesn't mean it wasn't going on.

He is correct though. American Indians smoked mostly tobacco while some tribes added certain herbs, plants, shrubs(kinnikinnick) to the tobacco. It wasn’t until the early European settlers introduced marijuana that it slowly resonated into this land. Even then, there is little evidence that AI’s used much of it.

I have PTSD from my time in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive and the VA tried to give me all kinds of medicine to help me but it never worked, it left a nasty after effect on my brain and made my shoulders hurt like hell! I stopped taking that crap. I live in Utah where it's not legal so I have a friend from Austin, TX that owns a Medicinal Clinic in Oklahoma and he sends me cannabis to take and it is like a complete turnaround for me when I need it...it also stimulates and heightens my music playing...one small bowl before my band does a gig and I'm good to go. Screw alcohol, although I do drink some beer and that's it. Also, just this past year I believe Utah is on the verge of making it legal. My friend does not send me what I call "ditch weed", this stuff is from Canada and it has all kinds of health benefits. Nothing wrong with a little smoke...

I go to the West LA VA and hate the generic Ambien they give out, there are a ton of guys there that throw away the Meds that the VA gives them and use the cannabis that is legal in California.
