If you think the more talented team wins every game, then you think the Jets are more talented than the Cowboys.

It's ridiculous to think that there are 7 teams with more talent in the NFC. There is a distinction between talent and performance that you don't want to make.

There's a distinction between potential talent or perceived talent vs actual talent that you aren't willing to acknowledge.

Yup. They may coach well Monday through Saturday, but come Sunday they all suck.

Just like a great racing thoroughbred can't win the Kantucky Derby with a crappy rider no matter how good the training.

Man how true a statement from him on the HBO documentary, and how spot on that is for this team and JG..both he and Saban spoke at length about this fact, and all I could think about is how many times that could be said about the Boys
That statement should be Garretts epitaph.

Isn't that a result of bad coaching?
Are you suggesting that these players all came up through being coached at the middle school, high school and college level and didn't learn proper blocking and tackling? The basic fundamental techniques are taught at every level.

Now, what these coaches do with that, I do not know but I wouldn't think they would undo the basics. But you know what I see every week by most of the DB's I see tackling, poor technique and De Milo tackles. And that's just about on every team but I've noticed the better D's have their CB's actually use their arms to wrap up, imagine that. They're also the better teams with RAC and YAC.

I was reading some things about a completely different topic and sport. One guy made the observation: If one opponent knows what the other opponent is going to do, that guy is going to win 80% of the time.

That's why Bellichick is so big on filming teams practice. Its an incredible advantage.

People like Garret will bring up execution and they are right. If you complete every pass, pancake every block, beat every blocker on defense, etc. you will win and no scheme will stop that. However, with two relatively equal opponents, knowing where to go gives you a huge advantage in winning those 1 on 1 confrontations. Defenders jump routes, they jump into holes, etc. WR's know where the soft spots in zones will be. It makes it really hard to execute when opponents always hit you where you are weakest and know where you are going.

Getting back to Dallas, the 90's Cowboys were one of those 20% that were so good they could win when you knew what they were going to do. Even with that, they ran most of their plays out of the I and did all kinds of zone blitzes. Teams might have known all their plays but they gave away *nothing* pre snap.

I think Jerry wildly underestimates tactics and coaching because of how dominant the early 90's Cowboys were.

"Predictability is overrated."
Sincerely,
Jason Garrett

disagree. Garrett has had at least two teams in his tenure that had the talent to compete for a championship and the best he could do was the second round of the playoffs.
what about Parcells? what about Wade? not dismissing the fact that garrett couldn't have been better. he certainly could. but bad GM, bad coaching. bad drafts. bad results. too much to over come....the GM sets the culture of the organization and we have a very bad culture.

Hire a real coach. That's how you become a good GM. Stop hiring losers to run your organization on the field.

Jerry has done it before, and here is one fan that thinks that is again what he is going to do this time around. But we will see.
Jerry hired Parcells. it was going good until Jerry meddled and ruined it.

Did Parcells and wade get 10 chances?

Which 5 teams in the NFL are more talented?
"The most talented team" hadn't won a Superbowl since the '99 Rams or the Manning lead Colts. (POV)
Remember how the Micheal Vick effect blew chunks in Philly. Talent smalent if it don't produce.

That’s my bottom line on coaches. Don’t put your players in positions to lose. Garrett and that stupid 3 plays to Zeke for a loss...that stuff you can’t have.
