This is his third year with the Rams and Football Outsiders has them as the 6th best defense in the league. It's their offense with the genius McVay that has fallen apart this season.
His third year here we were 2nd in the league in scoring defense.

To me that was the thing I never will forget how stupid Wade Phillips was for not playing Flutie. Some coaches are just well stupid. Richard is like that too. They see a guy who is small in stature and because of that they just can't play them over the guy who has all the measurable. What coaches need to be good at is seeing who shows up during games. If a guy shows up during a game, he should get the start regardless if he is short, tall, fat, skinny, slow, fast etc. Play the guy who makes plays. Flutie made plays.
